Vapour Chopping Technique

Waveguide are the key elements in integrated optical circuits. The properties of oxide and fluoride thin films useful for such an application vary with time. The vapour chopping technique developed in our laboratory has proved to improve the properties of oxide and fluoride thin films useful to built waveguide elements. The ageing effect on these materials were found to reduce by using vapour chopping technique.
