Kate and her friends find themselves on an island they've never been to before. How did they get to this island? Will they be able to work together to survive until rescue arrives?
To complicate the situation further, the people they meet have heard stories of Kate and her arrival all their lives. How can she possibly fulfill their expectations, when she herself has no idea what's going on, and not everyone on the island is happy about her arrival?
When rescue seems impossible, how will they cope? Will they ever find a way home?
