The Power of Twelve Prayers is Gary’s third book on the power of prayer as expressed in the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. He delves into the history of seven spiritual organizations that preceded AA and takes a long look at AA’s underlying philosophy, Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount. He takes the reader through prayers that express the essence of each of the Twelve Steps, while embracing the Beatitudes, the blessings that start the Sermon on the Mount.
