In the bustling metropolis of New Londinium, Lord George and his colleagues, Lady Eliza and Duke Justin, are working on a groundbreaking transportation project. The project involves utilizing quantum bubbles, an area of overlapping parallel universes, to transport large amounts of cargo across great distances in mere seconds. However, their success is short-lived as the quantum bubbles begin to burst or become unstable, causing the parallel worlds to appear randomly and leading to the destruction of skyscrapers and the loss of hundreds of lives.
As the situation worsens, a faction from the other side of the quantum bubble blames the New Londinium government for the destruction. It starts sending troops to our side, conducting raids that result in the death of many citizens. With the help of Dr. Cornelius Rathbone, Lord George and Duke Justin realize that the only solution is to close the Quantium Reactors for good, or at least until they can devise a solution to stop the destruction on both sides.
Amidst this chaos, Miss. Rosewater becomes indispensable as she becomes the liaison between our side and the other universe, communicating with them via quantum wireless. Meanwhile, Madame Esmeralda Novak predicts a dark future if the quantum bubbles are not closed soon.
The story also delves into Lord George and Duke Justin's past, detailing their formative years in the Royal Navy's Sea Service. Lord George's exceptional skill in navigation and strategy quickly earned him a reputation as a brilliant tactician and audacious sailor.
