The Bannatyne Manuscript is an anthology of Old and Middle Scots poetry compiled by Edinburgh merchant George Bannatyne in 1568. This edition is the most accurate rendering of the manuscript. The poems chiefly congregate around the themes of love and chivalry, though other topics like war, politics, religion, and morality are also represented.
