Om Syagrus romanzoffiana as a source of bioactive compounds
This book was developed to bring together studies on Syagrus romanzoffiana, a palm of the genus Syagrus, Arecaceae, known as jerivá, which has different uses, for civil construction, in human and animal food, in the use of oil from the almonds for cooking, and has potential as a source of energy generation. On the other hand, it is not a very well explored plant species from the chemical and pharmacological point of view. Here we will portray its morphological, chemical aspects and biological potential, in order to corroborate its scientific validation.
