In RUMMAGE, REMNANTS and RESALE, Ragains shows you how she decorated an approximately 2,000-square-foot home for less than $2,000 worth of secondhand items purchased at rummage sales, garage sales and resale shops. She took some dives in a few Dumpsters and scavenged for discarded items in several roadside trash piles. With remnants of fabric, paint and lumber, she turned these items into useful and attractive pieces.
For each room, Ragains found an inspiration piece to determine the decorating theme and color scheme. She includes before-and-after photos and floorplans along with tips and how-to instructions so you can replicate her ideas.
