Replicycle Earth is lost behind an orbital debris field from the Satellite Wars, and the Mars economy is all that is left of civilization. Suddenly artificial activity is detected around the outer planets, hinting that someone -- or something -- out there may be moving in. Pilot Teresa Hughes sends out investigative probes to try and debunk rumors of an alien invasion. Retrocause Justin Williams fell in love with a legendary girl in a photograph. Unfortunately, the photograph was from 80 years ago. When the elderly woman abruptly appears and they are stranded on a derelict spaceship, Justin must choose between critical decisions that will literally split the universe.
