Australian poet Ken Simpson was born in Melbourne. He began writing poetry relatively late in life. His gift is unmistakeable.
His poems contain no rhyme. This deliberate choice is essential to his expression, and has a very particular significance.
His early years channelled him into becoming a 'detached' observer of life. Yet his poems carry in them evidence of deep insight and passionate involvement.
