Accidents at sea are still a common occurrence, but significant progress has been made in recent decades and all involved stakeholders enact accident avoidance and mitigation measures in accordance with current norms and legislation. This additional effort was made to present the duties and responsibilities from seafarers up to ship owner and the best practices proposed to conduct successful sea operations without damage or loss. Finally, this guidance presents risks and hazards on health, safety and environmental parameters that inform about the procedures and standards that are applied in the offshore wind industry.
