Om Mom! The Movers are Here
Two young people with lots of love and little money can make it with God''s help. Carl had a thirst for knowledge. He took correspondence courses all the time and attended night classes at local community colleges when he could. It''s not about how much money you have. It''s about how you spend it. We both loved to read. Books were inexpensive. I learned to cook, then loved to cook. Carl invited three young single sailors to our home in Torrey Pines when Steven was a baby to share Thanksgiving dinner with us. We had four babies between 1952 and 1957. In four different towns, three different states, we lived in twenty-four houses, not counting motels, so we could be together as a family as my husband climbed up the ladder in his naval career. My children attended seventeen different schools. Was it hard? Yes! Would I do it again? Yes, in a heartbeat.
