The amazing passion and power of football, the world united as one. This is the story of Clifford Ward and Olaf Heimmer, two great international football superstars. Their families sail from Europe in search of a future in the New World after World War One. Olaf's love frustrations prompted him to join the Werhmacht. Clifford also returns to England and joins the R.A.F. A German POW Camp finds Olaf an officer and Clifford a war prisoner. The prisoners' misery and pain of war is forgiven but not forgotten by The Magic Ball. It is unashamedly an exceptional story of love, the greatest power which always triumphs against all odds.
