They live mostly happy and content on the Little Greenbriar River way, way up in the Smoky Mountains. The simple way of life they share with the folks who have lived on this beautiful mountain for generations is coming under attack. They must all come together if they are to save their homes, friends and neighbors. A greedy mine operator has decided to blow the top off of the mountain to strip mine the coal buried deep beneath. B.W. and the other wild animals join together with their furry and feathery farm cousins for the biggest fight the mountain has seen in years and years. A young Melungeon woman, recently graduated from the university with a degree in Environmental Science, becomes close friends with B.W. Working together B.W. and Miss Lyza Mae Walker raise support among the many different communities and cultures to oppose the mine operator and save their home. Will they do it in time?
