It's not easy, being in a wheelchair, and if you don't have a lot of confidence to start with, people can and will treat you like you're invisible or don't have a voice. I've always wanted to be someone with their head held high, but that's just not me. Or at least, it wasn't. But Locrottum Academy has changed something for me. It's getting easier to make friends, have fun, and perhaps even experience more than that when a secret friendship sparks between the one guy the school hates the most and me. Henry:
So, I made a mistake. One mistake, and now Jeremy and the rest of the school won't let me forget it. I didn't side with Malcolm's parents' opinion on hybrids being at the school. I have zero issues with hybrids being here at the academy with us. But no one wants to hear me out. I'm doomed to go through the rest of high school alone and friendless. Or at least that's what I thought. One of the new girls, Becca, is interesting. She doesn't shy away from me. Nor does she make me feel like an outcast. She's given me a chance when no one else will. I just can't screw this up. Can I keep her as my friend?
