Journey to My First Step: A car crash survivor's story

It's the end of a short vacation, all that's left is a drive to the airport. Then BOOM! A moment in time that changed not only the life of the author, but all who know her. While hospitalized, Candi Puleo went online to do research to try and see what her life would be like. She strived for a human connection for her plight - a roadmap to recovery whatever that would be. The only thing available was medical jargon about the injury itself. She struggled to maintain a level of sanity in the endless alone time in the aftermath of the car crash. She needed to know how to live - like this. Candi decided to chronicle her recovery, her Journey to that first step. It is full of her day to day struggles, humor, and somewhat of a love story for those who supported her throughout and beyond. Her intent was to be honest, and tell the story of her journey for others.
