What If Sparta Ruled An Empire?
After centuries of conquest, the Spartan Empire dominates the known world. Its lands stretch from the Mediterranean Sea in the west to the Persian Gulf in the east, and from the Nile in the south to the Danube in the north. With the last of their enemies defeated, the Spartans are the unquestioned rulers of the world.
But many people living within the Empire's borders hate their new masters, and an uprising spreads to every corner. In response, the Emperor orders his Phalanxes to wage war on his rebellious subjects. They are led by a ruthless Commander who will stop at nothing to eliminate all who oppose Sparta.
Meanwhile, beyond the Empire's northern border, powerful yagar warriors live scattered throughout the wilds of the Forever Forest and North Lands. The Ten Clans are divided, as they have been for a thousand years. But when Spartans kidnap a certain female for the Emperor, one yagar sets out to do the unthinkable in order to save her.
Back in the Empire, a leader of the rebellion knows the Spartans are too powerful to defeat, and she believes an alliance with the mysterious yagars is their only hope. But is such a thing even possible? Humans and yagars have always been enemies. How can she bring them together? And even if she can, will they be enough to help bring down the most powerful empire in the world?
In this action-packed, alternate-history fantasy, will a rebellion break the bonds of tyranny? Will alliances be forged in time to heal a broken world? Will an empire conquer or fall?
