Om Information Technology Performance
There is a gap in most computing sciences curricula. Performance is largely ignored. As a result there is a lot of misunderstanding of performance in the IT industry. For a variety of reasons driving a performance course into a curriculum is usually not practical. One way to plug the gap is to teach certificate classes. The book is also a good reference for Computing Sciences Educators seeking to enhance their courses with performance material or to connect the dots on performance for their students. It is also a good reference book for Computing Sciences Students and IT professionals. It starts with the fundamenals and covers a broad set of performance oriented topics such as: Utilization, Consolidatation/Distribution, Scaling, Tandem Operation, Transient Behavior, Observability and Devops, Workload modeling and Performance Architecture. Exercises from classes will be gathered into targetted workbooks and publish here as a series.
