Om Going Back To Church: This Is My Story
I warmly welcome this personal testimony from my brother, in theFamily of God, and sincerely hope that this book will be a blessing toChristians everywhere. The deep early childhood consciousness ofGod's presence and sovereign authority over his life has been veryilluminating. Thereafter, his personal encounters and struggles toovercome the enemy to our eternal salvation, would begin. This brother was thrown from the path of righteousness before hecould begin to grow and better understand the things of God. But inspite of the years of being held captive to sin he did not loseconsciousness of the eternal love and grace of the Lord God Almighty. After many years living in England, and away from any church, thebrother recognised his state of helplessness without Jesus Christ andcried out, in confession and repentance. The Lord heard and answeredhim, and by the saving power of the Holy Spirit, he was cut free toresume on the Christian walk.Brother Riggon re-baptised and turned to fellowship at his childhoodchurch and throughout this moving testimony, he has clearly becomea committed worker in the vineyard of the Lord at the New TestamentChurch of God.On a final note, I am personally very pleased to see the referencesmade to acknowledge the place in history due to the Claremont NewTestament Church of God, in Hanover. This church was plantedthrough the tireless labour of a remarkable servant of the Lord, knownto us as, 'Brother Bailey', and who hailed from the parish of Clarendon. He settled in the community of Jericho/Claremont in 1937. I welcomethis historic record for the New Testament churches in the oftenoverlooked parish of Hanover.Rev. Glasford Hume - Present pastor at the Haddo New TestamentChurch of God, Jamaica.
