  • av Papa James
    285,-

Do you know God's plan for you and your life? In this book James Price tries to help you find a way to discover God's plan for you and your life. He is trying to get you to a place where you can communicate with God in a way that is both inspirational and fulfilling. Since his finding God in a way that he could communicate directly with Him over twenty-five years ago James has been healed both physically and spiritually and received many answers to why he is who he is and why he has done these things in his life. He would like to teach and show you how to find out God's plan for you and the answers to the why they happened. He also would like to help you understand how to use these things to reach God's goal of wholeness in your life. As the bible says God is ready to heal all our sorrows and sickness, it would be foolish not to let Him do it.

  • - Sharing the Heartbeat of God
    av Gloria J Winston

There are people who will have you believe that our salvation is based on merit, on what you do for Christ, but it is no longer about what we do (law) but it's about what Jesus Christ has done on the cross (Colossians 2:14)! Here is another truth: in the natural your DNA determines who your father is at conception (natural). Being born again means a new birth, a spiritual birth, born from above. Your spiritual birth determines your DNA that you received from your Heavenly Father at conception. Romans 10:9-10

  • - Coaching Students to Be Problem-Solvers
av Patricia Cyganovich Ed D, K Michael & PH D Hibbard
    385,-

Thinking It Through: Coaching Students to Be Problem-Solvers guides educators in integrating creative and critical thinking to power the six phases of the Cycle of Problem-Solving: problem-finding and analyzing the audience, researching, generating ideas for solutions, selecting a solution, designing an implementation plan, and self-regulation and setting goals for improvement. The authors draw from the works of Thomas Friedman, Bena Kallick, Ken Kay, Robert Marzano, Jay McTighe, Daniel Pink, Ken Robinson, Tony Wagner, Grant Wiggins, and Young Zhao in creating a coherent system for teaching to produce independent problem-solvers. Thinking It Through provides guiding questions to focus on specific skills and attitudes needed to progress through the Cycle of Problem-Solving and four developmental levels of problem-solving. This book is for classroom teachers, grade-level teams, content-area departments, pupil-service departments, whole schools, and school districts; the strategies are useful in elementary, middle, and high school disciplines. It is recommended as a textbook for college undergraduate and graduate education programs.Educators have found the Thinking It Through Cycle and System of Problem-Solving useful for engaging a school, district, or institution in the life skill of problem-solving. Creative and critical thinking, communication, collaboration, arts, basic skills, empathy, mindfulness, resilience, perseverance, and positive work habits are problem-solving tools. These are coherently and systematically included in the Cycle and System of Problem-Solving to give educators theory and strategies needed to empower students to solve the problems of their lifetimes. Ken Kay, the founding CEO of EdLeader21, concurs, "There will be nothing more essential for students in their personal, professional, and civic lives than to become self-directed, creative problem-solvers." Noted consultant and co-author of 17 books, including the award-winning Understanding by Design series, Jay McTighe urges, "If you agree, as I do, that problem-solving should be considered a basic skill of a modern education, then this book is for you." Martin G. Brooks, Executive Director of TriState Consortium, offers this praise for the authors: "I have seen first-hand the transformational work that Drs. Hibbard and Cyganovich initiated and oversaw as school administrators. Their focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity and innovation encouraged teachers to do more profound and more meaningful work with students." Jonathan P. Costa, Sr. Assistant Executive Director, EdAdvance, states: "I have never encountered a pair of leaders more qualified to share insights regarding student agency in problem-solving than Drs. Hibbard and Cyganovich. Thinking It Through is among the most in-depth and thoughtful examinations of the power of shifting the focus of learning to the student that I have encountered. The results represent a unique blend of theory and practice, grounded in the depth and power of the real-world examples they share and explain.""This work is an incredible contribution to teaching problem-solving," concludes Professor Marcia Delcourt, Coordinator, Ed.D. Instructional Leadership at Western Connecticut State University.

So, with much trepidation, Fearful sets out with Prince Anointed One through the desert. In this desert, she is tormented by anxieties about Prince Iniquity's cruelty. He is known to take sadistic pleasure in torturing slaves. She also discovers Prince Anointed One is nothing like she had imagined. She wonders if His kindness is a façade. Questions hound her steps as she journeys through the desert. When she receives answers, it seems more questions and concerns arise. Will she lose her friends if she chooses to follow Prince Anointed One? They are all she has now that her grandparents and mother are dead, and her father is gone serving King Holy One. Daniel Imroth is the only son of a wealthy and aspiring doctor and pharmaceutical chemist who takes young Daniel from his mother to begin another life in one of the newest and grandest of corporate city-states rapidly emerging the world over, located on the rolling plains of Midwest North America, amidst the fragmented remnants of what was once known as the United States of America. Yet the troubled youngster soon becomes estranged from his father, who has little time to spare in his quest to become a great leader and pioneer of the new city-states. The story takes up his plight years later, now as an adult- "Mr. Daniels," as he prefers others to call him-and holding a position as history teacher at the secondary-school level-a position well below his capabilities-until in a desperate bid to discovery his true heritage he unwittingly accepts an unusual assignment on the outside...in the surrounding unincorporated areas, the so-called open-air towns and cities of yesteryear. He embarks on a journey of self-discovery into this strange land, all the while bedeviled by a ghostly premonition from his past as he falls in with four rather curious and somewhat familiar characters along the way, themselves seeking their own escape in their own way...from a world that has been all but forgotten. In a not-so-subtle homage to an iconic and beloved American children's classic, The Analyst pulls back the curtain to reveal a stark vision-and a story-ending stunning reversal of roles-set in a not-too-distant future in a not-so-distant land... When the era of the nation-state has ended, replaced by corporate city-states under a single world government.

  • - Make the Shot
    av Demetrice Spearman
    285,-

Trauma is more prevalent than ever. It is painful to experience and even more painful to talk about. Little do we know; we have the power to help each other find the answers to a healthier life. We must help each other eliminate the continuous cycle and guide our youth. The process to make a shot in basketball requires discipline and focus, just like life. The cool thing is anyone can make a shot with proper guidance. Learn it, pass it on, and change a life. Trauma is something we all experience but how do we heal? For me, it was basketball. My father wasn't in my life growing up, so I had to learn a lot on my own. We should strive to reach those who are headed down the same path and show them the formula to prevent pain that comes from lack of guidance. I wouldn't be where I am today if I weren't shown the way.

  • - Finding Refuge Among Shorebirds and Saints
    av Martha L Henderson
    299,-

Gray Quinn watched the tide create ripples in the mudflats that lay gurgling and gasping around the rocks where he sat. He thought of his ancestor, Captain Gray, who would have stood on the bow of the Lady Washington in 1788 watching the same process. Not far from Gray Quinn sat Saron Lindquist, hidden in the tall grasses along the rocky shore that forms a part of the Grays Harbor Unit of the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. Saron watched a heron, motionless at the edge of the mudflat. Suddenly, the heron stretched its long neck and pushed its needle-nose beak into a pool of water. A silver fish flopped about until, in one swift move, the heron flipped the fish into the length of its beak and into its outstretched neck. Gray, Saron and the heron watched the mudflats from their vantage points. Gray, homeless and shattered by drugs, Saron, chased into the grasses by modern-day pirates, and the heron. Seeking shelter, Gray, Saron and the shorebirds hope to survive on the muddy margin between land and sea.

  • - A solution to the measurement problem of quantum mechanics
    av Jonathan Sumber
    259,-

The hypotheses within this book were not developed as a result of anything that occurs within our day-to-day lives, for the physics that create the fabric of our reality are so perfect that there is no reason for anyone to doubt that the universe and our perspective of it, is any different than how it seems to be. But, as we explore into the ultra-small-scale fabric of the universe, we have found that the universe seems to know if we have obtained certain knowledge about how it works at this extreme small level of order and changes its behavior from the way it functions within our day-to-day lives as an effect of what we have been able to know. Along with this, it has been demonstrated that the universe doesn't change its behavior as an effect of what had been done that created the knowledge, but rather; it's solely as an effect from the creation of knowledge that can be passed on to a conscious observer. This is called the measurement problem of quantum mechanics and the solution to how and why it occurs, continues to be a conundrum within the global physics community. Along with certain quantum behaviors such as retrocausality, quantum entanglement and quantum tunneling that defy the laws of physics that we function within, the measurement problem of quantum mechanics suggests that the universe and the nature of our reality may be quite different than what they seem to be. The hypotheses in this work embody a detailed explanation from within a metaphysical methodology, for how the measurement problem of quantum mechanics can be solved, while also defining the true nature of the universe and our reality.

(magna cum laude) and M.S. degrees in mathematics, and earned an MPA degree in Public Administration; commissioned a second lieutenant into the U.S. Air Force; served eight and one-half years where he earned the Bronze Star Medal for exemplary service after serving two tours in Vietnam and two outstanding unit awards for managing eight satellite communications sites all over Southeast Asia and supervising as many as 75 airmen; and was honorably discharged as a captain. When he arrived in Winston-Salem, N.C., his hometown, he was hired as one of three of the first black administrative employees for the City of Winton-Salem in 1970. In that capacity and after he was demoted, he completed studies and developed programs that enabled the City of Winston-Salem to receive millions of federal dollars and he effectively supervised about 10 city employees implement a $1 million manpower program that he developed. When his friend was hired as the city's first black assistant city manager in 1972 and wanted this decorated Vietnam veteran on his staff as an administrator to terminate as many black employees as possible and to accept and support his perverted sexual desires to hire only white men and the veteran refused his offer, this black manager with the support of the veteran's cousin who took the position that the veteran turned down planned how they would and did destroy the veteran's career with city government so that this black assistant city manager could and did keep a highly paid white male by his side on and off the job every day for his personal pleasures. However, when he decided to drop one young white male companion for an older white male companion, the young white male companion gave incriminating evidence to the local newspaper that showed how this black assistant city manager was embezzling thousands of federal dollars to keep his older white companion happy. This assistant city manager and the city manager resigned their positions, because of mismanagement and misappropriation of federal and tax-payers funds. But to coverup the actions of these top leaders and what appeared to be an on-going sex for hire, promote and or upgrade practice in operation for white men, the City Council gave them glorying recommendations so that their careers were not tarnished and hired another city manager who implemented a conspiracy plan that supported the past perverted actions of the past ineffective leaders and made the veteran the villain and troubler-maker in city government. To effectively implement their conspiracy plan against this decorated Vietnam veteran, the new city manager with the approval and support from the city council, state and federal justices, attorneys for and against the veteran, and city department directors used every corrupt and amoral practice possible to destroy the decorated Vietnam veteran's career and ability to adequately provide for his daughter and senior citizen mother. Those practices included discrimination, harassment, fraud, bribery, perjury, sexual perversion and embezzlement which cost the city taxpayers over 5-Million Dollars.
