Om Every Perspective has a Voice, Every Voice has a Perspective
What started out as an epilogue turned into a book of its own. The 13 stories you will read are compelling. They should be. Told by actual combat veterans of the Vietnam conflict, they reflect on so many battles that were fought; battles that were of the "kill, or be killed" type. The stories are, at times, raw. Other times they are humorous. Some end well, some do not. I learned that these men still carry many burdens that started when they got to Vietnam. I found that the end of their time in service never really ended. Many still suffer. Agent Orange was a culprit. P.T.S.D. was another. None were unscathed. I was able to interview two family members of a pilot who lost his life in Vietnam. From this, I learned of the long-lasting effects on family. Each I interviewed a POW from that conflict. I still find it hard to believe that this man came back alive. He's still alive and using his story for good. One thing for sure is that every one of these fine gentlemen are heroes of the highest order. I found them humble and unassuming about taking on this role. I hope this book will elevate them to their proper place, along with their countless comrades in arms.
