Om Dil
Karina is an American born confused Desi, a first-generation immigrant with a secret - she's in love. In normal households it wouldn't be a problem, but in her community? Boys are a strict hands-off policy. Though they have religious differences, traditions and perspectives, Karina holds out hope that she and the boy of her dreams, Siraj, will end up together.
Finally, after years, the lovers are given a chance to explore their feelings for each other outside of their family's cultural expectations. Throughout their love saga, Karina grows safe with Siraj, and Siraj shows Karina that having 'dark' desires is nothing to be ashamed about.
What starts out as bringing their love-making fantasies to life, turns out to be a whirlwind relationship and Dil (pronounced d-ih-l and means heart in Hindi) becomes a word commonly used by the two to symbolize the depth of their love for each other.
Regardless of whether they end up together or not, both Siraj and Karina will be embedded in each other's hearts forever.
