Clay Wars

A playful tongue-in-cheek satire about contemporary war & economics, Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes meets a lighthearted version of George Orwell's Animal Farm. For two years, Rue has wielded absolute power over her people by controlling the playground clay trade. Now, that once plentiful resource has become exhausted and the rest of the elementary school is catching on to her tricks. Rue is cunning and devious, but her time is almost up. What will happen when she is pushed to the edge and forced to repay her debtors? Quite a lot for a ten-year-old to manage. Not alone in her strife, she is aided by Max, her arms dealer; Sophia, her reluctant muscle; and even her nemesis Miss Humberry. Everyone has a part to play in what becomes Rue's quest to launch an all-out war with the French immersion school. But is the war real? or is it just another masterful misdirection, one created to blind the entire school.
