Central Banking Unbundling

"Central Banking Unbundling" is an exploration of the evolving landscape of central banking and monetary policies, tracing their historical evolution and challenging the 'neo-liberal' orthodoxy of central bank independence, inflation targeting, and indirect monetary policy tools, and seeking a return to the direct supportive roles of state/central banks that pushed today's advanced countries to industrial advancement. The ladder they climbed to advancement has to be there for today's developing countries. Several case studies of central bank unbundling are presented including a proposal for unbundling the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
