La obra de este Premio Nobel de Literatura es inconmensurable por su aporte a las letras del siglo XX, especialmente por su poesÃa que fue desde el romanticismo al compromiso social y polÃtico, para volver al romanticismo en sus últimos escritos.Yo me enamoré, como millones más a lo largo de los años, del "estilo nerudiano" que usaba vocablos simples para engarzarlos en metáforas preciosas y elegantes como si de finas diademas se tratase.Este libro que hoy termino es mi humilde homenaje al poeta del bronce que, sin embargo, nunca estuvo alejado de su pueblo ni de los ideales que la gente de su época enarbolaba.Quise tomar la que, quizás, es su obra más conocida y parafrasear su tÃtulo desde lo opuesto contraponiendo el desamor al amor y la esperanza a la desesperación.
