Devastated by the death of her beloved husband, Shawn O'Neal, her emotions are numb as she leaves everyone and everything she cares about in Tampa Bay to attempt to heal the huge void and confusion she feels. A sabbatical at Huntington Hills College in upper North Carolina is where Amanda temporarily lands. Hopefully, teaching some Criminal Justice courses will rejuvenate her investigative and legal skills. Little does she know that this action-packed adventure will change her life in many ways forever.
Huntington Hills College is an ancient institution with many secrets and happenings, sadly to say some criminal in nature, despite its incredible campus grounds of absolute beauty. Forest and rolling hills surround the grounds of wonderous historic buildings and ancient traditions, which have lured many a student for centuries. There, Amanda is reacquainted with an old college pal, Ryan McFarlan, a nationally renowned photographer, that brings back old memories and new feelings. With Ryan and Amanda, the quests of exciting and dangerous experiences begin and build throughout the story. Will they and their reputations be 'blacklisted' for life?
Despite worldly resistance, they continue to assist in solving a chain of vicious crimes in Huntington Hills, North Carolina, travel to Ireland to find a child that has been kidnapped, and finally, return to Amanda's farm in Florida, with healed hearts and greater understanding of their long-enduring Christian faith.
