Ancient Mesopotamia, a land between two rivers, is known as the 'cradle of civilisation'. At the height of its influence, this region saw the birth of the world's first cities, the first writing system, the first historical records, as well as myths, medicine, literature, astronomy and religion that went on to revolutionise societies around the world. In Between Two Rivers, historian Dr Moudhy Al-Rashid brings us closer to this ancient past and the lives of the people who lived in this extraordinary society.
