Ynn of the Second is a playwright with a Talent for seeing the past, who finds himself adrift in a new land when his theater company suddenly disbands. Desperate for money, he accepts a commission from the royal court to write a play about the events of the last battle with the dark lord. But as he delves into the history of the conflict, he uncovers intrigues and danger that threaten not only his artistic vision, but also his life.
