Following the fortunes of four successful Edinburgh professionals in the mid-thirties - Brian, Gareth, Gerry and Callum. In the run-up to the 2008 financial and economic crash, theirs are lives devoted to shopping, sex, and status. Seeking meaning in that which is meaningless, when the new financial reality engulfs them they are forced to confront some hard truths about who and what they truly are.
