It can be hard to find your place in the world, especially if you are a bloodhound puppy. Take it from Herald; it was not easy leaving his birthplace of Kansas and traveling by airplane to the unknown world of Idaho. Yet this is just the start of Herald's story in the new children's fiction book, Herald The Rescuer: Herald Gets Rescued The Beginning by Tricia Callies. A pedigree puppy, Herald is destined for big things, but he first has to go through some trying, uncertain times in airports, airplanes and a pet store. Will anyone take a chance on this little doggie? With the right adoptive family, Herald will learn about his dog sense of smell, love for others and belief in self that comes from God. He will see that his adventures are just beginning as Herald the Rescuer, becoming who he was created to be each day. A lifelong lover and protector of animals, Trish Callies, her husband Randal and daughter Randii, adopted their first AKC (American Kennel Club) bloodhound when their daughter Randi was born-more than 20 years ago.

  • av Patricia Jones Taylor
    179,-

Pastor Patricia J. Taylor is a woman of God and a mighty prayer warrior. She exhibits a zeal and love for God's people that is evidenced by her constant overflow of preaching, teaching, exhorting and comforting God's people. Through many of her speaking engagements or revivals many have stated that they want Gods presence on their life, as they have witnessed upon her ministry. Her respond, in many cases have been "Be careful for what you ask for and make sure it is what you want". You can inherit a talent through family genes but the anointing comes through a process called dyeing. Her desire is to define what the Anointing is and is not to the body of believers, to explain the anointing characteristics & attributes. Many identify an individual or group on Sunday Best, Dancing with the Stars or American Idol as being anointed. News flash! They are talented. When true believers say they want to be anointed, they desire the yoke destroying, burden removing power of God in manifestation in their lives. This is truly an honorable thing, but it comes with a cost. Anything of value has a high price tag that might not be immediately visible but will be revealed. Count the cost and then decide are you willing to pay the price of self sacrifices, to be anointed.

God works because God works! That's how God rolls. Yet, we live in a broken and fractured world. It's our fault, and we know it, but God is working on us-never giving up! Bit by bit, season by season, year after year, month after month, week after week, day after day, hour by hour, minute by minute, moment by moment, we are the ones who are the affection of the God who never sleeps nor slumbers. Some seem to get that better than others. But, as God's kingdom comes and as God's will is done, and like the great time-keeper God is, and like the master of mosaics he is transforming all of us into the useful thing of beauty-the image of Jesus himself, which we are intended to be! This is that timeless devotional book that can be used over and over by individuals, couples, at the family table and in a small group setting! Enjoy! Brian Gigee is a working parish pastor at New Life Lutheran Church in Pearland, TX. With over 30 years of ministry in his rear view mirror, he remains hopeful about the world's future via the transforming and emerging activity within the Christian church today. They are the stories of her father: stories of travel, of poverty and of faith in God through every season in life. In her first book, God Signs & Dad Stories, Christian author Paula Pettis memorializes the memory of her late dad, Russell Pettis, through collected stories of his life. The first section of the book chronicles Russell's upbringing in Wisconsin during the Great Depression, when poverty was prevalent but family love abounding, as well as his time spent sailing in the Merchant Marines during World War II and later in other branches. Paula presents a touching tribute to her father in the second half of the book, recalling the months spent caring for her aging parent in hospital ICUs and through countless doctor visits. Yet through prayer, support from loved ones and unexplainable signs from God, she created treasured moments with her earthly father that celebrated her Heavenly Father.

Millie and James Adams are now retired after serving 22 years as missionaries in South America, plus 13 years as care pastors at Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas, a church of over 10,000 members. The book you hold in your hand is not just "ink on paper," but rather "blood, sweat and tears" expended for the Kingdom by two unselfish servants. Their journey will come alive as true "living epistles, read by all men." It's not just what is said in the pages of this book, but it is the indelible marks left on the lives of men and women around the world and recorded in heaven. My friends and colleagues, James and Millie Adams, made those marks with humble sacrifice. If the book is not enough, talk to those who know them and then read between the lines and you will find multiplied volumes of Christian character bathed in wisdom. Get ready! Your life is about to experience a legacy. Dr. Ralph L. Holland Founder/President International Missions Network

  • av Pastor Predest (Dwayne) Richardson

Fears in life gripped him since he was a young boy growing up in Chicago. Author and pastor Predest Dwayne Richardson recalls that fear always prevented him from enjoying life: from being bullied at school to being afraid to excel in career. However, in his new autobiography, Building the House of Love, Pastor Richardson mentions that being called into ministry by God encouraged him to face his fears and that he was in need of God's love. At that time, his life had great highs, such as a successful army career, to great lows, with addiction struggles, failed relationships and being homeless. Then he started witnessing miracles from God and felt led by the Heavenly Father to consider rebuilding a church community also in need of God. Building the House of Love is one man's story of overcoming crippling fears of life to uphold his calling from God to lead.

What are we to do with this topic of discussion called the "needle's eye", or is it the "eye of a needle"? What should we do with all the books, literature and historical evidence that supports the belief that there really were "wicket gates" or doors in the gates of many ancient cities referred to as "needle's eyes". Lyndon B. Stimeling takes a fresh look at an old story; that old story of entrance into the kingdom of God. The example of the camel and the needle's eye could have an effect on you and your eternal destiny. From the author of "Common Thoughts on the Word". Lyndon B. Stimeling is a free lance writer who lives with his wife and son near Richfield PA.

The only exceptions were police stations and emergency rooms, also nursing homes. Police completed their patrols. Nursing homes took care of the elderly and frail. Sunday was a day reserved for church. Many towns and cities have a number of churches. In some churches, a person hears about GOD's love and blessings. In some churches you're told once in grace always in grace. That isn't Bible. In some churches, your told do more good things than bad things to get into Heaven. That also isn't Bible. 1962, the Supreme Court took Bible reading out of public schools. 1970, I believe, the Supreme Court said ok to same sex marriage. 2010, the Supreme Court said ok to drugs. In New Jersey, incestuous marriages are allowed. 1970, all businesses began being open on Sunday, but not until noon, after church generally lets out. So now, on the way to church we stop by fast food restaurants for a sausage and biscuit. After church, we head to the grocery store or the restaurant. Also, after work I stop, for a relaxing beer and after my evening meal I will smoke a cigarette but I'm still a good Christian. I was born 1948, raised in Monterey, TN. I was raised in church. I became a Christian in 1975. I had a very serious alcohol problem. I woke up sober in Germany, for the very first time in 5 years. I wrote down my thoughts. I believe firmly, if the Bible says no, then, what is happening is a sin. Yours in Christ Lynn T. Bowman

Working as the organic gardener in a home for abused and neglected children in Germany, Louise thought she had found her calling. Little did she know that she would be asked to leave it all behind in order to begin a similar program in her native United States. Through her grief, loss, and finally joy, Louise chronicles God's great faithfulness in creating for wounded and homeless children the Salem Children's Home and School in Western Maryland. There, bringing peace and healing to young people who have known only brokenness and pain, God has shown Himself to be a "Father to the fatherless." Words from one of the grown children: Hello, my name is Aaron. I came to Salem when I was six years old. When I was at Salem I was angry at God because I could not understand why a loving God would take me away from my family. But now I thank God every day for Salem. I could go on for days about why Salem was an amazing part of God's plan for me, but I will simply say this, I am now able to minister to many lost people in Baltimore City. I truly from the bottom of my soul thank you for training me as a child, because the Scriptures held true. I did not depart from it!

  • - Once Concealed Now Set Free
    av Irene Kim
    249

"The greatest beauty of all is God's invitation to us to surrender our failures for His second chances, to find hope in hopelessness, light in the darkness, and redemption when all seems lost." We are undeniably wicked and sinful by nature, even as Christians. We all fall short. We cannot save ourselves. These are bleak statements when left unaddressed, but Irene confronts these tough truths in No Makeup as she unveils some of her most shameful struggles, starting with her first encounter with sexual immorality as a child, as well as her battle with facing adultery later in marriage. One day, convicted by the Holy Spirit to stop wearing makeup, Irene obediently removed this one physical veneer, only to find it to be the first step leading her down a spiritual path of shedding one facade after another until her soul was stripped before her Maker. Letting go of her much-esteemed "good girl" image, Irene walks us through her journey toward owning her inborn deceitfulness as she comes face to face with the unrighteousness within her-the struggles we have all experienced in one form or another, but most of us keep quiet and hidden. She lays them bare so we can bear witness to the Almighty's miraculous work of taking charge of these sinful moments and command them into holy moments. In turn, they become catalysts for transformation and restoration instead of Satan's intended destruction and defeat. Irene Kim grew up in the suburbs of Maryland right outside of Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Daniel, have three children and also host children in their home who are at-risk for foster care and/or homelessness through the Safe Families movement. Irene is a stay-at-home-mom and works part-time as a birth instructor and doula. She finds joy in all the little things such as riding horses, journaling with colorful pens, jogging trails, discovering mom-and-pop restaurants, and winning board games. Irene is passionate about Jesus being glorified through orphan care as well as building up individuals and their families through Christ.

People of Grace is a nonfiction Christian book highlighting what God's grace is, why God gives grace, and where are examples of grace found in the Bible. In the Bible, God demonstrated the same grace He gives to us today. God's grace is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God's grace is an attribute that makes God who He is to us as human beings. What about grace? Why would a holy God, the creator of everything, see fit to extend His hand of grace upon us? Grace is defined within the Christian lexicon as "unmerited favor." It is the "undeserved blessing", a gift presented to God's highest creation because God loves us. It is by the grace of God we are made holy. People of Grace studies the discovery of what grace is, and its impact.
