Sherline J. Smith is a native of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. She grew up in the Caring and Sharing Orphanage, which was founded and supported by missionaries and churches in Detroit, Michigan. In 2001, she was blessed to come to the United States to pursue her dream of getting a College education. She attended Florida Memorial University in Miami, FL. After overcoming many challenges and obstacles, Mrs. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Smith speaks English, French, Creole and Spanish. She is a professional educator who enjoys making a difference in the lives of both children and adults. She has taught for ten years in both the Christian and Public school systems in Detroit and Miami. Mrs. Smith is also a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She has been sharing God''s love with the broken-hearted since 2008. She received biblical training at The Word Church International in Miami, FL, where she served as a minister under the leadership of Pastor Robert L. Young, and from Faith Bible Institute in Detroit, MI, through the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. After more than twenty-five years in the construction industry, and a very dramatic encounter with the Lord, I answered the call and transitioned into ministry full time. Following a year of attending a formal Bible school while still in Michigan in two thousand nine, we then attended Rhema Bible Training College full time from the late summer of two thousand ten till the spring of two thousand twelve. Prior to retirement, she pastored in the Memphis and East Ohio annual conferences in a variety of settings. She has served small town, rural, urban, suburban, and cross-cultural appointments. She also served as associate program director for the East Ohio Conference Council on Ministries, resourcing local churches, and as district superintendent where she supervised local churches and pastors. Preaching and teaching are her passion. She has preached broadly across the United States. She has conducted workshops on racial ethnic concerns, stewardship, evangelism and congregational development. She is a writer of plays, inspirational stories, poetry and meditations. The Book of Revelation and the Book of Ezekiel speak of the living creatures and the faces that are to be found on them. We learn to roar at the enemy just as the Lion of Judah roars and take authority over the forces of evil that would attack God's children. We fly like the eagle, resting on the thermal currents and flying through the fiercest storms, no fear! We were made for this. We have the strength of the ox and push through the toughest of situations, remaining faithful to the family we serve. The face of man is our face as we are called to fellowship with the sufferings that Jesus did when He walked the earth as a man. All of this is our destiny prepared for us before the beginning of time. The moment we were born again we were born on a battlefield as His betrothed. HE IS COMING SOON FOR HIS BELOVED BRIDE!

To forgive as we have been forgiven is, in my opinion, the most difficult thing in Christianity. The Christian life is one big miracle. As believers, everything in our lives that is genuine is the result of Divine intervention. But to forgive as Christ forgives us, so much that as He looks at us today, He doesn't condemn us for any of the sins that we have committed against Him throughout the years. Seventy-three years ago, December 24th, 1944, to be exact, Salvatore John Pellicano took his first breath. My parents, were both immigrants from Sicily, Italy. South Philadelphia was where I was born and lived for my first ten or so years. My father opened a bakery in the small town of Clayton, New Jersey; he purchased the equipment from my grandfather who decided it was time to retire. It was the mid-fifties, and back then Clayton was a great little town. Like my father, when he was a boy, I too worked in the bakery. Due to my mother's psychosis, she didn't function very well, and when she did "function," her "function" excluded me. I was pretty much on my own; I bought/stole my clothes, and wash them too in the old bathtub upstairs. Anything I needed I got, somehow, and as long as I showed up for work every morning, my parents didn't care. I was a High School sophomore when I met Bette; that was the absolute best thing that ever happened to me. We were together from then on. Two weeks before Bette and I were to be married, I was informed I no longer had a job. That was a terrible shock; for years, I was told there would always be a place for me at the bakery, and the bakery would eventually be mine. It took a long time, but I learned that was all in God's plan. From hobby to becoming a business, motorcycles consumed me. That led to racing which led to the opening of my business, ("The Cycle Center). There is so much more that could be written, but there really isn't any need to continue, most of it is included in this little book, and remembering my early years makes me unhappy.
