  • - For a fully-functioning life;
    av Donn H Poole
    345,-

    On occasion, comes the writing of a book that haunts the basis of wisdom and forces us to deal with what really matters, even to the essentials of life. Yet, too often that wisdom isn't heeded, nor taken seriously. I happen to believe that this is a book, whose time has come. As well as a book, whose time has come. It is a comprehensive, yet practical guide in understanding your purpose, your potential, and a pragmatic roadmap for a life, which is aligned with God's wisdom. It is a life driven by the changing winds of today's culture. Proverbial Wisdom for a Fully-Functioning Life: Volume One is far more than a simple collection of guidelines. Imbedded in this book, is more than just an illumination of wisdom. It is much more than that. Wisdom is more than just a part of God's Character. In this book, Donn demonstrates a gift for organizing and articulating proverbial wisdom, for all people, men and women. He enables the reader to recognize how the cultural influences of our thoughts, and recognizes the shallow and superficial rewards, which the current culture offers, today. Donn shows the reader how to apply God's truth, to their goals, their commitments, and their relationships, to become all that God desires them to be. This book will change the decisions you make. It will transform your attitudes, it will improve your relationships and ultimately, it will draw you closer to God. Prepared to be engaged both spiritually and intellectually!

    It has always been taught that no one can know when Jesus will return. However, Jesus said we are children of the day, and not children of the night, that that day should overtake us unawares. He spent a chapter each in Matthew, Mark and Luke giving signs of his coming and of the end of the world. He obviously expected someone to decipher the clues. See how all of these clues, and many more in the Old Testament, point to the year 2026. Dorothy "Evelyn" Essary is the oldest of eight children born to Clayton and Marie Counts. At ten years of age, she received the Holy Ghost and began her walk with God. At 21 she married and spent nearly 30 years of her life in often difficult circumstances, during all of which time she continued to serve God faithfully. At 51 she was widowed and spent the next 18 years on her own. At age 69, Dorothy married Bill Essary and assumed an entirely different life from her previous one. Bill enhances her life daily and has been a great encouragement in the writing of this her first published work, although she has edited three non-fiction books by other authors. Some have accused Dorothy of being obsessed with end-time events. She smiles and says that is okay. People about to marry are obsessed with their weddings. The church is about to marry the King of kings and Lord of lords, and for the bride to be obsessed with the coming of the bridegroom should be normal. She continues to search the scriptures to receive further understanding of the things that are just ahead. Dorothy is a member of Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro, Missouri and a former member of West Point United Pentecostal Church in Doniphan, Missouri.

    Building Capacity demonstrates that God's best plan and life's best success for anyone depends on one's capacity to create it. It shows that much depends on us (our capacity) and not on God - God can do no more and no less than the capacity we build. Creating capacity for life and success is both a personal responsibility and a part of God's immutable design. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 11.0px 'Antonio Light'} p.p2 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 11.0px Antonio; min-height: 16.0px} p.p3 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: center; font: 11.0px Antonio} p.p4 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 11.0px 'Antonio Light'; min-height: 16.0px} span.s1 {font: 11.0px Antonio} Many subscribe to an erroneous concept of the sovereignty of God, and as a result of this misconception, believe that their fate in life ultimately depends on God or some other higher power calling the shots - that everything in this life is "as is" because God has willed it so. What they fail to see is that God has placed all responsibility for life and success squarely on the shoulders of mankind, and that this assigned responsibility is a part of His divine plan. He designed life for us to call the shots, and for us to determine the outcome of our lives in this world. God is not the one running planet earth, man is. The condition of the world today is a direct cause of man's oversight of its affairs, and God can only get involved to the extent we let Him. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 11.0px 'Antonio Light'} span.s1 {font: 11.0px Antonio} Sino Agueze is the Lead Pastor of Kingdom City Churches - a Church modeled to reach the Next Generation for Jesus. This Christian nonfiction book discusses how a truthful and more honest approach to your faith can lead to a closer relationship with God. Clear your path of false appearances and reveal a clear picture of your truest self. With personal insight, the author shares how she exposed her most tender and vulnerable self, and what she gained because of it. She writes her story from her core beliefs, seeking joy, purpose, and strength. Largely set at a local homeless shelter where the author volunteered, the book examines how a change in scenery can shift your mindset and reveal pretenses you did not even know were there. With guiding questions at the end of each chapter, this works as a handbook or guide to stripping away the façade and coming clean to God.

    "Happiness Was My Butterfly" came after a lifetime of writing short stories and poetry. When the time came for a novel it blossomed so quickly. I grasped every word as if it came to life. Since it was my first adventure of writing a book I thought it best to obtain several opinions. I received feedback from both male and females of all ages, and a seventeen year-old. After she finished it she came back and said "I didn't want it to end, and I read the whole thing straight through, because I couldn't put it down." Since then everyone who has read it said the same thing. The last person I offered it to was a stock broker friend of mine who didn't like to read novels. But I left it with him anyway. The next morning at 8:00 am he called and said "... I was up all night and I couldn't put it down ... I had to finish reading it because I always love a good mystery." I felt I couldn't get any better opinions, for I had been delighted with their responses. I was born and raised in the South and the book is centered around that area in 1935. It is full of mystery and comedy, and to coin a phrase from a delightful movie star, Gregory Peck, when he read "To Kill A Mockingbird." He said "he loved it because it took him back to his childhood." I can't think of a better invitation for you to try my book, for I truly believe you will like it too.

    The Pauline epistles of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus are called Pastoral Epistles because they consist of instructions given chiefly to the young pastors Timothy and Titus. The Apostle Paul was a spiritual father to Timothy and Titus, as well as others who were born again under his ministry. "For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel" (1 Cor. 4:15). The need for genuine spiritual fathers is as great today as it was during the early Church period. Many young ministers and laymen alike are looking for leadership examples to follow, as it is only natural to do. The more the pressures and tests of life attack the modern Church, the more we need the wisdom that comes from these spiritual fathers. From the Pen of a Spiritual Father uncovers the doctrinal, as well as the practical side of pastoral ministry and spiritual leadership that today's spiritual fathers can gain wisdom from, as they disciple their spiritual children. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 11.0px 'Minion Pro'} Dr. Phillip G. Richards has served the Lord in full-time ministry since 1978 and understands the need for spiritual fathers in our day. As an experienced pastor, evangelist, and teacher, Dr. Richards continues to pour into the lives of God's people, at Rivers of Living Water Ministries in Elkins, West Virginia where he is Associate Pastor. He also enjoys teaching theological classes at Victory Family Church in Cranberry, Pennsylvania. Dr. Richards is a graduate of Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He received his Th.M. and Ph.D. in theology from Life Christian University in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Richards resides in West Virginia with his lovely wife Linda, and is available for speaking engagements for seminars and revivals in other churches.

    All sane humans in every place and every time of history including our own have desired the same condition of life, one of pervasive and persistent love, peace, and joy. Jesus Himself spoke of this condition and described it in terms of "having life abundantly." Attaining such a life requires the work of the Holy Spirit in us and upon us but we do have a part to play in that work of His. Our part is to identify the nature of reality and to the best of our ability to act consistently with it beginning with the supreme of all realities, the perfect and infinite God. Identifying His nature is so foundational to abundant life that after apprenticing ourselves to Jesus, it's the first action we should take in attaining it. We take this action as a practical matter by building a purposeful, objective, and thorough vision of God. We learn all the revealed attributes of His we can and descend into the details of each one, a process that develops our vision of Him until eventually it's 20/20. Our fuzzy perception of Him becomes a clear one that strongly directs us to routinely think, feel, act, and react with love, peace, and joy in our day-to-day lives. It's here that 20/20 Vision comes into play by assisting us to see God clearly as He is. Its descent into the details of His attributes revealed, explained, and applied causes His utter loveliness (goodness) and utter competence (greatness) to jump off the pages. The intended result is that its readers will be gripped and even ravished by a vision of Him that cultivates and supports the abundance of life they desire and pursue.

    In 1998-2011 I meet a wonderful, engaging, women who had a deep personal relationship with Jesus. I call her my imaginary friend, because in all the years I knew her, we never spoke to each other face to face. Only by using the telephone, and our spiritual connections were transforming, and life changing. Her voice was deep and her wisdom was in abundance.She, my mentor told me through our conversations that the Lord wanted me to write a book for many to read. That I am suppose to tell how to come out of darkness, the place of bondage, to a triumphant life with Jesus Christ. In order to do this, I had to quote a lot of scripture passages and become vulnerable to my reading audience.I tackled very tough subjects in this first book in a series, starting with being born again, building a foundation of truth, getting focused, confession, forgiveness, dying to self, and lastly, how God's Love is not the same as human love. I also looked at racism, prejudice, covetousness and lasciviousness in light of the conversations I had with my imaginary mentor and confidant.I looked deeper into confession and forgiveness, because I was told that many today just do not know how to repent, confess their sins, and receive forgiveness, in order to have, peace and reconciliation in an already broken relationship. People do not want to heal their fragile marriages anymore, and they turn away from their faith, to do what gratifies their flesh, with no regard for any personal consequences that will arise and destroy their lives.It is my sincere desire to help those who need to make a change in their lives, who are stuck in self-centeredness, and who live for themselves, instead, of our Loving Creator, and His Son Jesus Christ. I have included a short prayer of repentance in my book for those who want to ask Jesus into their hearts and the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.I have been very open, and bold in my style of writing, and said what I believe is the truth of God's Word by sitting at Jesus Feet. I give God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit all the Glory and Honor that is due to their names! I look forward to meeting some of you in person and pray that the words I have shared in this book with encourage, strengthen, and minister grace to the hearers and bring Peace in the midst of many storms.

    "Whirlwinds of Blessings & Praise" is a must read - "for such a time as this!" Poignant & Powerful It will challenge even the most learned and mature Christian. I've known Gini & Kip for over 20 years and they are among the diamonds spoken of in this book - the pure in heart. I believe Hashem (the Lord) has given them the keys of revelation and illumination. The question is, will we use these keys to open the portals and doors? Will we humble ourselves and pray and seek the heart of our Father? Will we see each other through our Father's eyes and allow Him to give us His perspective of the orphans, handicapped, elderly and disadvantaged? "Whirlwinds of Blessings & Praise" is both Timely and Provocative! Vicki Gumina, Founder & Director of "Trumpets Two" Intercessory Prayer Org. "I have known Gini Detry for 30 years. "Whirlwinds of Blessings and Praise" encompasses so much of the life story of Gini and her family. The lessons the Lord has taught them are life-changing! They have sought through many trials and sufferings to be faithful to the Lord they love. So much truth! One of those books I'll keep close at hand to make sure I do make those necessary changes!" After my twenty-two year marriage ended in what seemed like an instant, God began to talk to me in ways He never had before. As only He can, God took a terrible situation and turned it into a journey that drew me closer and closer to Him. After I lost a marriage that I thought would last forever, God showed me that my journey had really just begun. Through the pain, He taught me that He wants to talk to us as much as we want to hear from him. From being overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit, to dreams, and even through an open vision, God showed me that He will go to every effort to talk to us. His desire to help me, to comfort and guide me amazed me repeatedly. Acts 10:34 tells us that God does not show favoritism. If He will do these things for me, if He wants to talk to me, He wants to talk to you, too! Whether you are going through a similar situation, or some other unpleasant life event, please join me in my walk as we learn just how much God wants to bring us out of a dark situation and turn that darkness around for His glory!

You are created to create. I was raised in a Christian home, but life was filled with abuse of every kind, I was afraid and angry, but my only outlet was writing. I began writing poetry before I even realized the magnitude of what I was doing. I was writing poetry before I was delivered from my mental and emotional prison. There was a God-given gift in me, just as there is in you. Be blessed as you read.

    When I discovered my husband's secret life, something inside me died.The grief was overwhelming. Other similarly-injured wives seemed to bounce back relatively quickly, but I was destroyed. I couldn't figure it out.I begged God to show me what was wrong with me. And He did.Turns out, the size of your hurt can indicate the size of your self-righteousness.Instantly, my pain lifted. My mind changed. I've never been the same. You're welcome to read all about what I learned, but first, a few warnings: "To women who have a husband hooked on porn, this book may make you mad. It will also make you think." -Gary D. Chapman, PhD, author of The Five Love Languages"This book will make some women mad. She had witnessed her share of the miraculous, but when God gave her the opportunity to experience a miracle for herself, she was careful not to take it for granted. Contrary to her Midwestern roots, Physician Assistant Lisa Feather traveled to paradise seeking to grow her career and her purpose. She planned to call St. Thomas island home for the next year. Little did she know that multiple Category-5 hurricanes had the Caribbean within their sights. As she looked Hurricane Irma in the eye, the pessimist in her could have easily resolved to walk against the wind, but the optimist knew that she must let the wind push her onward. Facing Hurricane Maria fourteen days later, she recognized that sharing with the world the adversity and fear that she faced, as well as the spiritual liberation that she received, would fulfill this fraction of God''s calling on her life. Her inspirational journey demonstrates to practitioners and patients alike the value of spiritual medicine one needs beyond the stethoscope.
