  • - How to survive on the Christian Journey
    av Angelica S Codner
    259,-

Angelica Codner was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She is the first of two children for Sherene Earle and Courtney Codner. She was always hand-picked from the crowd due to her height which eventually shaped her into the leader she is today. She was never called to fit into the crowd but to stand out.Angelica encountered so many challenges as a teen that could have cost her salvation and her life. There was a moment in time where she was highly depressed and suicidal. But, out of every bad situation comes forth the good. In the midst of all of this, she got saved at the age of 13 (October 8,2008) and received the holy ghost not many days hence. She has devoted her life to singing on the choir, apart of a prayer group as an intercessor and working in the youth department and so much more.As she journey through this season of surviving, Christian Journey Ministry was established in January 2016. This ministry is devoted to help equip, engage and empower disciples for the Kingdom of God. Our aim and our desire is to help inspire people from all works of life and revere God. She understands that thou the vision tarry, wait for it, While waiting no man should be an island no man should stand alone. The book entitled " Survivor 101: How to Survive on the Christian Journey" was later birth in the ministry. The journey is not always easy and when we need someone the most, they can never be found," said Codner. "This book will place you in survival mode so you may have access to purpose. The more clarity you get walking in purpose, the closer you get to destiny."In today's society, the people of God and youths in particular are fighting to survive. Some may speak, but some are slowly dying in Christendom. The attack is great, but greater lays within the mind and soul of our youths. SURVIVOR 101 will help those who are struggling in Christendom. This book will truly bless you in areas beyond your imagination.Angelica Codner has an associate degree in theology. Her desire is to build the kingdom in anyway possible. In the near future, she will be pursuing her degree in Psychology and Social Work.

The author of Loser delivers Lie'f. Lie'f brings to the forefront the dangerous romance of the streets and the cycle of violence, drugs and fatherless children that are likely to follow. Lie'f provides brutal awareness to readers. The author does little to censor his candidness but is not aiming for shock value. He is purposefully providing not only a warning, but also a guide to the consequences of the lifestyle that perpetually creates the same cycle of life for future generations. Lie'f shows the contradictions. It's about knowing the right path in life and choosing a more dangerous one because of the benefits it provides. Lie'f examines these choices and the dangers that they bring. Which Lie'f will you choose?

In his closing address to the Ephesian elders, Paul states: "Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God" (Acts 20:27). In an age where certain books of the Bible - particularly those from the Old Testament - are largely being ignored and untaught, this book series aims to equip both formal Bible teachers and laymen to teach the whole of the Bible, book by book, to God's saints. With detailed yet easy-to-follow study material and lesson worksheets designed for Sunday School and Bible study settings, this resource will prove to be a useful tool for Bible teachers of all levels of experience. Faith-based organizations face a quandary when setting up security departments and protecting their entities. A leader''s call should be to remain peaceable and loving toward their enemies; it is their duty as leaders of the church to defend the flock against attacks, crime, and slander. The chilling reality of today''s time is that unexpected, violent individuals or groups often perpetuate deadly acts against innocent people and community institutions because of sociological, psychological, and biological factors. These dangers exist in public records, and entire communities of people are at risk, including faith-based organizations such as churches, schools, and commercial and public buildings. The first step in preventing attacks and other crimes at faith-based organizations is to select, train, and educate security personnel. Security consciousness is a necessity for leaders and members of community institutions. Always approach the specific steps toward greater security in a spirit of calm professionalism, not alarmed panic. The faith-based community should be mindful of the need to balance vigilance with an open, vital, supportive atmosphere which is the essence of places of worship. Our lives depend on it.

I believe in a basic premise, starting point, and place of about Scripture. If a man believes in the Scriptural God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, he also believes in the inspiration of Scripture. On the other hand, if man does not really believe in the Biblical God, but accepts at best only some of the insights of the Bible into religious truth, he will not believe in the unique inspiration of Scripture. The converse is also true. Our belief in the inspiration of Scripture means commitment to be Biblical God, while refection of inspiration means rejection of God. Our acceptance of Scriptural doctrine is part and parcel of our acceptance of the doctrine of God. Scripture flows from the Divine nature, Scripture Is linked with what God has done, God''s Scripture (His Word) and works are thus confessed or negated.

Pastor, are you in senior leadership transition now...or will you be transitioning in ten to twenty years from now? Senior leadership transitions in the church are not only possible but potentially more successful once a paradigm of mutual honor is established between the predecessor and successor. Join us in this book about successful pastoral transition understanding: - the need for an atmosphere of honor. - the importance of emotional intelligence. - the primacy of clear, continual, and caring communication - the priority of vision, and much more.... "A typical millennial pastor responded to his aging ministry father, 'I need your shoulders and you need my eyes.' In this powerful book, both parties are taught to honor. I have seen nothing better on this important, critical subject for the worldwide church than this book." -Larry Stockstill, Pastor and Church Planter "This book marks out the problem principles of generational transfer and the practicalities of what every leader must know to make it happen." -Bishop Wellington Boone, Chief Prelate, Fellowship of International Churches "Without a doubt, Jerry David and Steve Stells have found great wisdom and are sharing some incredible truths of how to see to it that you build a legacy and empower the next generation." -Pastor Steve Kelly, Senior Pastor of Wave Church "Henry Ford said, 'Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably why so few engage in it.' David, Stells, and Servello shattered the notion set forth by Henry Ford. A must read for denominational leaders to help guide those for whom this book was written." -Dan Hicks, Sr. Associate Pastor, The Church on the Way

Christianity is under attack, but not because Christmas greeters say "Happy Holidays." From the university classroom to the NY Times bestseller list, the foundations of our faith are being not only questioned, but openly mocked. Sometimes we do not understand the criticisms of our critics, and their claims are met with little resistance. This book takes the reader through 12 common objections to Christianity and offers compelling answers to these objections in a readable, straightforward style. You are invited to enter this world of ideas, so you can understand and answer these objections when you encounter them. Doug Ward is both a pastor and professor of New Testament, so he has a foot in both the church and the academic world. Currently, Doug serves as Lead Pastor of Mundelein Church of the Nazarene in suburban Chicago. He is also an Adjunct Professor of New Testament at Olivet Nazarene University, and has served in this capacity for 14 years. From Australia to Angola, Britain to Belize, Canada to Cambodia, study after study has shown that fatherlessness is a global crisis that carries damaging ramifications. This book espouses the intriguing biblical story of the Prodigal Son with significant details and practical applications. It sheds light on the much needed understanding of roles a father plays. Today as society hails the tremendous efforts of single mothers and motherhood (and rightly so), efforts of single-fathers and fatherhood are rarely spoken about. The author explores the story in contemporary times, and also looks at the Millennials not in terms of their stubbornness or stigmatization but of who they are, what they possess, and what they have inherited. When properly nurtured, directed, welcomed, and appreciated with unconditional love and responsible freedom, they will be a tremendous blessing to the family, the church and society by reversing the pessimism associated with fatherhood. Bishop Joe Kwapong is a gifted psalmist, songwriter, author, senior pastor of New Breed Church, second presiding Bishop of Love Ministries Fellowship of Churches, headquartered in Maryland; and the CEO of FriMah Publishing, Atlanta GA. For more than three decades, Bishop Joe has planted and supported other church plants in Africa, UK, and the USA. He has also served as a minister of music with Judah Praise International, the International Center Gospel Church, and several others. Over the years, he has held and continues to hold music workshops and leadership seminars where he counsels music ministers and develops leaders. He is married to Lady Vicky and their union is blessed with two beautiful daughters - Adrielle and Cheryl.

Dear readers and friends, with this cookbook I would like to share with you something that I consider to be a very special and significant part of my life and the life of my family. I would like to share with you special recipes served over many years, that have brought people together around a dinner table throughout generations. Some of these recipes were passed down from women of days gone by, some were taught to me by my mother as a girl growing up  at home, and still others came together in my own kitchen. Many of these recipes came to be, perhaps, by accident, but quickly earned their rightful spot as family favorites. Within these pages, I hope you find not only recipes, but meals that, when shared around a table with loved ones, create memories and a feeling of family that will last a lifetime. Welcome to our stories and the meals that helped shape them. Enjoy.

This story is a testimony of my lifelong journey towards hope, salvation, and growing faith. Despite the backdrop of poverty, abuse, homelessness, homosexuality, sexual assault, drugs, alcohol, rejection, failure, suicide, and a bad marriage followed by divorce, God has loved me enough to bless me beyond all imagination in spite of my mess. Through all of that, I have been nowhere close to perfect, but I have been faithful. My prayer is that you will read my testimony of everything I have been through over the last 45 years and allow it to inspire you to not only embrace your fears, but also use those fears as a catalyst to transform what may be only a mustard seed amount of faith into mountain size faith. When you do that, God steps in and begins fulfilling His promises to you. NOTHING is impossible! The mustard seed is the smallest seed known to man, so that is not a lot, but you have to start somewhere and that is all it takes! "If you have faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there, ' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 (NLT)

Ezekiel Robinson is not your typical young man. He is smart, educated and driven. His father and step-mother moved him from the Deep South to New York City, so they could provide the family with a better opportunity. His mother and her eight- month fetus were killed at the hands of three vicious men for slapping the farm owner after he slapped her. His father and stepmother finally saved enough money to buy a train ticket to New York City. They always heard the big train late at night but never saw it. Ezekiel was taught early in life to believe in God and hard work. He worked hard to be an excellent student in high school and college. He obtained a Masters'' degree but was still tormented by the senseless murder of his mother in the south. He was enraged that his father did nothing to revenge his mother''s death until his father explained to him why he could not do anything and asked him for forgiveness. His family and friends told him not to internalize others bad behavior, but does he listen. Will his refusal to ignore what he feels are injustices directed at him, cause him to lose focus and jeopardize his accomplishments and possibly his health?

In its breadth, this new catechism is comprehensive, covering the major categories of Christian doctrine with sufficient balance for each. In its depth, it seeks clarity without compromise in theological precision. The questions and answers are organized by major doctrinal categories. Each section begins with a brief and accessible summary and explanation of the doctrines discussed. Helpful resources for using the catechism in homes and churches is also included. This "Blessed Hope Catechism" fully embraces the Advent Christian tradition and truly seeks to "tell the glad story" to the coming generations of the glorious hope that belongs to all who trust in Christ. As we eagerly await the new heaven and new earth, we desire to tell the old, old story in a fresh and engaging way, so that all who come behind us might know the Lord and the wonders he has done. From the very beginning, the aim of this catechism is to open our eyes to the amazing hope and soul-satisfying joy that is ours through Jesus Christ, which will be made complete in the new heaven and new earth.
