This Book is for You if: You feel confident of God's love for you, and you want to learn more about it. You once knew the love of God for you, but for reasons you cannot identify, the awareness of His love for you seems a distant memory. You used to daily experience the presence of God, but now He seems far away. You are doing all you think you are supposed to do to please God, but you aren't certain that you do. You've tried all the formulas for getting close to God but instead of getting closer, He seems farther away. You want nothing to do with the religion of Christianity, but you still love Jesus. You feel God has set you aside when it comes to ministry for no reason you can identify. You know that God loves you, but you sense He is disappointed and ashamed of you because you don't meet the "Christian" standards of success in life and ministry. You often wake up or go to bed thinking that God is displeased with you. You've been beaten down in life by overwhelming experiences and by people who should have loved you but didn't. You remember the joy and love you felt the hour you first believed in Jesus, but most of what you've learned since then has, in subtle ways, minimized His love for you. You sometimes find yourself unemotional when the topic of God's love is taught, and you are wondering what is wrong with you. You know people who need to know and believe that God loves them, and you're looking for a book that might help. You are ready to begin a lifetime journey toward rediscovering God's beautiful, astounding, and precious love for you.

Who, if anyone, could protect me? Why would a loving God do all of this?As a child, some tragic deaths happened in our family; one of them was when my dad accidentally backed over my four-year-old brother. Two weeks later Mom had emergency surgery. Many other adversities happened in my childhood. Also, a teenager and adult, there were more losses and I made some wrong choices when trying to deal with them. The harder I tried to come up with solutions, the more frustrating my life became. I went to church, hoping that one day I could figure out what I was missing. Despite my spiritual feelings of emptiness, I would later find out that God was with me all along; I came to understand He had been reaching out to me to help me through those tough situations. On the evening of October 3, 1986, I realized that I was addicted to alcohol and then early the following morning I had a clear sensation of being cradled in the arms of my Heavenly Father. This is an intimate story of perseverance, courage, faith and humor despite some of life's toughest challenges. It includes tragic deaths, depression and an ongoing recovery from alcoholism. Her book shows how God took the messes of her life and made them a message of His grace and mercy.

If we want to experience victory in every area of our lives, we have to confess the Word of God daily over our lives. The bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 9:11 that the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong but its given to the one who endures to the end. In this life we all have a race to run. How you run it is key. Nothing happens just because you think of it. It happens because you spoke it! Proverbs 18:21 tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue and those that love it shall eat its fruit. You shall have what you decree(speak) out of your mouth. Allow these scriptures that God gave me in Victory Confessions to help you run your race so that you can win in life.

During the pursuit of finding who we are in Jesus, we will hit roadblocks. We will encounter storms and trials, but there is strength found in Jesus, His written word, and His grace. As you pursue more of Him, He will leave you encouraged and strengthened, but we must be relentless in our pursuit. Our lives are like a race. A slow race, but one that requires us to be consistent and never give up. Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up" (ESV). These devotionals will catapult you into a life of full surrender and leave you hungry for more of God''s word. You will dive into reckless faith and gain understanding that you are a daughter of the King who has a mantle of great purpose on your life. The gifts and talents that God has given you will bring glory to Him and bring many others into the kingdom. Mandy Kenney is a registered nurse, wife, and mom to two beautifully energetic children. She lives out her passion to see the physical, spiritual, and emotional healing of all that is broken in this world through her deep commitment to studying, listening, praying, and encouraging. She is a part of the women''s ministry team at Capital Church, is co-founder of Nights of Unity (www.nightsofunity.org), and enjoys serving at the local women''s shelter. You might catch her riding bikes with her family, enjoying pie and coffee with friends, or relaxing in the Idaho mountains.

Honesty is my moral compass, which is grounded and rooted upon a solid and stablefoundation. My sense of integrity, self-worth, and self-confidence is not dependent onthe outside world, but it is an internal feeling. This feeling cannot be emulated. Youhave to build one for yourself.Learn to focus on more than the outer appearance of things, and use a soft focus onthe senses you have been divinely blessed with. Believe me, there is always much moreto a story than meets the eye and ear. Listen to your breathing and heartbeat, and thenyou will become aware of the rhythms around you.Mix all of the ingredients with a hungry thirst for knowledge and a curious mind, andit will help you build your moral compass of honesty. She always believed there are moments in our lives that can be defined as a transition between the "before and the after," between the "cause and the effect." She is in a space between her comfort zone and infinity. Sometimes she wants to hide and not be seen, not be open, and not be vulnerable, but she also realizes that as a writer, she is obligated. So she comes to the conclusion that there are two ways she can do this, soft and gentle or fast and hard; either way, both will get her to the other side, if she just creates. Whenever you or someone chooses a path designated and appointed just for you, follow that path to the end. Sure, you may sometimes come to a roadblock then take the detour. You see, a detour could be an interstate highway to your dream. It''s not the end of the road. Writing makes one''s Soul smile and their Spirit shine. It is only me and God''s Shadow. It is not an occasional resort for me, but a constant abiding place where she can find not only consolation but also habitation. It''s my home, my safe haven, my quietude and my quiet space where my writing and creativity consumes me, and yet cannot quench the fire within. My heart speaks to me, and the words penetrate and pierce my soul to the very core of my being. Words of encouragement and inspiration, words that we dare not utter, but is imprinted and embedded deep within our souls.

Speaking in Tongues is progressive through The Spiritual Gifts to fulfilling The Great Commission. In Acts chapter 22, Ananias confirmed to Saul that he had been chosen by the Lord to be a witness for Jesus Christ unto all men. He said to him what are you waiting for? “paraphrased”  “Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” Saul becomes Paul. He became a believer in a most extraordinary way. He believed, repented (Acts 9:6), was baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. He co-labored  with the Lord in the manifestation of The Spiritual Gifts and began fulfilling The Great Commission. The pattern and instructions for the Church in these things are clear. Speaking in tongues is the threshold or gateway into the Supernatural for the believer. It signals the point where God completes a two-fold process of residing within the believer for a Spiritual life and development (John 14:15-17) and upon the believer for power (Acts 1:8) and ministry.

Did you know that 18% to 30% of all firefighters meet the criteria for a diagnosis of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)? Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death among police officers and that the rate of substance abuse among first responders is over twice that of the general public? These are the very men and women that put their lives on the line for us every day and yet they themselves are in desperate need of being saved. In The Challenge of Chaplaincy, Author Carl Seitz presents a thoughtful and well researched assessment of the need for a faith-based support system designed to provide help and healing to our nation''s first responders. He calls on the local church to come alongside their public servants through the local church chaplaincy model and provides a detailed SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis of a chaplaincy ministry aimed at improving effectiveness and avoiding common pitfalls. Inside, readers discover the rich faith-based history of chaplains, the struggles-both physical and spiritual-that they face, and the training and ecclesiastical oversight required for an effective ministry. In addition, the author compares and contrasts the current secular approaches to providing care to those in uniform with the kind of care that can only be provided through Christ''s love.

Because of his knowledge of our past and his unique relationship with most of the people that he describes, he has an ability to take a simple news article and build it into a memorable story. This book may focus on the story of Piggott, Arkansas during World War II, but it is really a story that comes from every community in the Heartland of American." "A MUST read!" I thank our Heavenly father for this opportunity to share with you the importance of Faith and Believe. The moment I made a choice to Believe and Trust God, my life has changed tremendously. I lived in Anniston, Alabama the majority of my childhood life. I served in the family church and went through all the formalities of a member. I did not study the word to know God, but to know about Him. Once I made the choice to Know God and have a personal relationship with Him, my life changed tremendously. I pray that as you read this book, that God will minister to you. Your life will be impacted in a mighty way that the windows of heaven will open up and fill you with vision and dreams that only faith in God can bring it to pass. The Vision I Believe

As John 16:13 informs, the Spirit of God guides into all truth, I have been a servant diligently seeking, studying, learning, and understanding the truth from the inspired Word of God. In my desire to know more of the Word, I began attending an accredited Christian university five years ago. However, a yearning to seek, learn, and understand what God said began with a personal study of the Bible 15 years prior, when God pulled me out of several despairing situations and guided me to put my hope in Him through faith in Jesus Christ.
