Every day in America we wake up to a frivolous lawsuit, a ridiculous ruling by the courts, or an outrageous struggle in our cities and communities. We scratch our heads with disbelief, wondering how we arrived at such nonsense. What has happened to common sense? How did we get here? Is it possible for our nation to survive this onslaught of cultural change? This book examines some of the most recent topics that have rocked this nation. Most are the result of a lack of thinking. The only way to survive the chaos and confusion we face is to get back to reasoning-not lawyers, politicians, psychologists, scientists, nor other professionals who may lure us into a false trust. Only truth can deliver us from practical ignorance. If you are displeased with the direction of this nation and sincerely want to see change, it must start with individuals who make a concerted effort to think. This book challenges minds to confront the unTHINKable!

The conflict-laced, exciting conclusion to the first book of the two-part series! Akelo's life swirls into out of control emotions which draw him further and further from who he wants to be. His determination to be master of his own fate leads him to an upstream swim in his life's eddies and currents. Violence erupts, sacrifices will be made but it's not so easy when the sacrifices must be made by people you care about. Love is simple but not easy. How much of his trouble is a part of God's plan and how much is simply a consequence of his own actions? The reality of the world's view falls into conflict with the very truths Akelo holds in highest esteem. Akelo's Christian walk hangs in the very balance of each decision to hold onto his past or to embrace an unknown future. Isaiah 64:8 proclaims that we are all the work of God's hands, in the present tense. If there is nothing else taken, we can be encouraged that God has a plan and part of that plan is to shape us into a better version of ourselves; if we are willing to commit to our own growth. Through faith we overcome anguish and all of our life's sorrow. We were made to be unique; yesterday, today and tomorrow. Though it be a process which seeks to obtain a high degree. And therefore I so look forward to meeting the truest, highest form of me. By JAPOC - Just Another Piece Of Clay

Is it true that we can pick our battles in life, or do our battles pick us? What if, from the beginning, defects in your DNA dictate what battles you will be fighting for the rest of your life? This young nurse communicates her story with a raw, human aspect that illuminates the battle of chronic disease. Complete with descriptions of the wars within her faith and the fervent struggle to find meaning in difficulty, she paints a telling picture of the search for freedom. As her psyche travels down the war path throughout her story, she sees similarities in the patients she cares for, relating to them in a way she never thought possible. The stark contrast between learned medical knowledge and her patient experience makes this book a window into the world of those with chronic illness. Not to be set aside lightly, her story of finally finding victory is one for the books.

Scientists know history and scientific facts. Religious people know history and spiritual experiences. Both are right. Many scientists reject God and in their failure to be able to explain evolution from its beginning, have theorized many unproven scientific theories. Most religionists reject evolution and refute God's use of mutations and survival of the fittest to adapt to ever-changing environments. Both are wrong. This book is an effort to expose the truth and bring scientists and religionists together as loving brothers and sisters, as God intended when He created the material universe. A person doesn't have to be behind bars to feel imprisoned; from Theresa Gilliam's perspective, it can occur within a relationship to an abusive, narcissistic man. She shares her story of survival in her new autobiography, Bring My Soul Out of Prison, where Theresa describes thirty years of regular abuse, both physical and verbal, from a self-proclaimed prophet who had unleashed the same treatment to his five children (two with Theresa). Born and raised among the swamps of Louisiana, Theresa had already experienced heartache due to living in a broken home, dealing with a mentally-ill mom, and having been sexually abused by others. Her "soul prison" expanded when she met and married John, who continued to make her feel worthless. Theresa believed she was created in the image of God, but it wasn't until God brought healing from her abuse that Theresa finally felt the soul prison was releasing her.

Despite my wife being sick for a few years and knowing what the outcome would be, it did not lessen the blow. The loss of my wife in my life was profound and there were days that were extremely tough to get through. My hope for you if you have picked up this chronical of sorts of what transpired in my life for that first year after my wife's death, is that you get just one thing that will help you in the two steps forward, one step back journey. A journey that I was neither prepared or anxious to take, but had no choice but to take. The road I took and especially the relationship I had with my wife is as different as our DNA. Only you, your loved one that has passed and God know the depth, breadth, trials, tribulations and triumphs that made up your relationship. The battles that were fought together and the sacrifices made for each other are facts many people could never be aware of or will ever know. I pray that this book touches your heart in some way. I pray that just one thing within the covers of this book will help in some small way. The earthly life of your loved one has ended, make the life that you have left a testament to the one who has passed. Take care and God bless you.

It is refreshing to read God's very words describing the amazing events that will transpire before His coming and the end of the world. Those same prophets who accurately told us our Creator would take human form and die and rise again, here also tell us clearly that He is coming again to reign with those who repent of evil and trust in His mercy. The author chooses the passages of Bible prophecy that go to the heart of the matter. Here is offered what God himself says. It is foolishness to think that the Almighty does not have a plan, an irreparable mistake to think that He will not fulfill it, and that it does not include you and me. Parker Gamwell has been reading the scriptures daily for almost 90 years with a deep motivation to know exactly what God is saying. He believes that a proper understanding is vital to one's eternal welfare, and realizes that the time God gives us to know Him is of eternal value. Here Mr. Gamwell deals with the aspects of what God teaches us that not only reveal events that tell of the time of His coming, but assure a sinner of how he can be pardoned and prepared to meet God. Here he shares with the reader some of God's very words dealing with God's coming to judge the world in righteousness.
