You are probably asking yourself, "why should I read this book?" The answer is simple: If you want a shortcut to success in any area, you ask experts who have devoted their lives to being successful in that one area and were kind enough to write it all down in a book. If you want golf tips, you read a book from Jack Nicklaus. If you want bodybuilding tips, Arnold Schwarzenegger is your man. If you want to learn to cook, ask Julia Childs. If you want tips on raising safe, happy, successful kids, then I am your man. The inspiration for this book came from the youth pastor that was performing my son''s wedding ceremony; he had commented about how wonderful my two kids were and that I should write a book so he could read it to help him raise his kids. I have a son and a daughter, who love the Lord, have never been arrested, or tried any drugs. They both achieved high honors in high school and today both are successful mechanical engineers with families of their own. This collection of anecdotes and tips offers a summary of all I have learned and implemented as I raised my safe, happy, successful children and will help you as you do the same.

Are You Really His Good Thing addresses the perspective of being a wife in society today. Readers will see that the teachings will reside in biblical verses and God's viewpoint of how wives are to be for Him as well as their husbands. Several important aspects of being a wife are discussed, using the authors' personal stories and memories to shape what God's approach to marriage and what our human approach is to marriage. The contrasting viewpoints will resonate with readers, as we wish to adopt a Christ like character in marriage but we typically lead with the flesh-focused character. Combining these topics with scripture and testimony creates meaningful relationship advice wives and future wives will appreciate. The questions and suggested actions from the authors for readers accommodate well the topic in each section/chapter, while instilling encouragement to readers to ponder on the questions/actions. The questions/actions flesh out the meat of the advice of the chapter and are shaped to inspire readers to think on the matter and make positive changes in their marriages (or future marriages).

My Mother, Mary Erma (Collier) Tanner, had a little sister named Kathryn Collier. In 1927 when my Mother was four years old and Kathryn was two, Kathryn was tragically killed by a farm implement. Although, I never saw a picture of Kathryn or heard any details of her short life, God put it on my heart to write a story about her and give her the life she never lived. My book is fiction, however, some of the events are my own experiences. I named the book, "The River," even though I have neither lived near a river nor was familiar with one. After speaking with Kathryn's only living sibling, Ronnie Collier who is now 79 and a Pastor of the Gospel, told me he felt the "River" was the 'River of Life.' I now agree with him as this book was completely inspired by God through the Holy Spirit. My book starts at the end of her life. Kathryn returns home from her husband's funeral, gets in the car and drives to her parent's home where she grew up. She sits down on a stump where a beautiful Maple once stood next to the River and begins to reminisce about her life. Kathryn's Parents Christopher Columbus & Ethel Collier Approx. 1920

I talked to God and told Him that I wanted two things from Him. The first thing was that I didn't want anybody to have an opinion about my transformation. I wouldn't listen to anyone about how to dress like a Christian, what music to listen to, what shows to watch. I only wanted God to help me out. You see, in my past, I had tried to change my ways for God. I got too bored with this Christian lifestyle, so I fell right back into sin a lot worse than I was before. This time I wanted God to work on me from the inside out. I figured that He knew what He was doing and He would help me out, and I wanted to listen to Him and Him only. The other thing I talked to God about and that was a desire to not move out of the state of New Jersey unless He told me specifically that I had to move. I didn't care what others thought or said. -DIANA STRICKLAND, excerpt from Chapter One

Most Christians didn't realize the reasons Jesus came back from the grave; nor did they realize that if he didn't stay around to teach his followers the importance of his dying on the cross, the spreading of the gospel wouldn't have the effect to stay alive. Jesus is the Son of God, who came down from heaven, in the flesh, as a baby, grew up as a man with no guile found in him. He went on to be crucified for the sins of man, and is become the Savior of the world, our mediator, and is now sitting on the right hand of God.

Did you know that we are given the right and we have been granted the authority to release and to proclaim the power of God's word? Scripture tells us that we can speak to our mountains (Mark 11:23, Matthew 21:21) and we can find peace in our valleys (Psalm 104:10) and it's all through the power of the word of God. Are you overwhelmed with the cares of life? No need to worry, there's a word in the Word: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6). Are you seeking direction? No need to fret, there's hope. You are in the company of many. Deuteronomy 32:7 tells us, "Ask your Father and he will inform you, your elders, and they will tell you." This devotional is an easy read with a collection of simple, yet meaningful words that have an impressive connection to biblical truths. You'll discover that memorizing and learning scripture can be as easy as ABC. As you begin to memorize scripture and reflect on life's personal experiences with thoughts, prayers and conversations with God, you will find new meaning to scripture memorization and become enlightened in the word like never before. Are you the type of person who has ever pondered their life, their beliefs and thought: "There Has Got to Be More Than This?" I am especially speaking to those of you who confess 'Christ' as your personal 'Savior and Lord.' Have you been attempting to live the so-called 'Christian Lifestyle' as you have learned it to be, only to be left with an emptiness that causes you to realize there is much more that seems to be missing in your 'Faith Walk' in which you are supposed to be engaged? Have you ever wondered Why you are not experiencing the 'benefits' God says that you should receive? Have you ever thought that every time you reach a decision to get your life in order you fail to do so, get distracted or sidetracked? Are you puzzled at times by your own actions? Why you do or don't do the things you do? Don't worry, you are not alone. The answer to these and many other 'Why Questions' that you have can be found within the pages of this book. This book is designed to be more of an 'interactive counsel' for the application of the Word of God to assist the 'new' or even the 'more seasoned' believer on how to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, into a 'Disciple of the Kingdom of God Mindset, ' and to begin learning 'how to see' the world in which we live, from a 'biblical worldview, ' gaining God's perspective on all things. av Dick Grandpa Trigg
    345,-

This work of Christian nonfiction draws upon the author's extensive life and spiritual learning to address issues of faith facing our society and young Christians today. The author's writing flows naturally and is filled with care and passion for both his subject matter and his readers. He is clearly a natural-born writer, and he uses his gift of writing to help draw readers to the truth of their identity and purpose in life as a believer. The author shares his own life journey to show how he has matured in the faith, which also shows how society has changed over the decades. He then refutes common "politically correct truths" by expressing what the "biblically correct truths" are. In this way, he takes on many complex issues, ranging from evolution to sexuality and gender to demonic forces that are working against Christians. These much-needed discussions make the book an intriguing collection of social insights, spiritual truths, and sage advice for generations to come.

Have you ever received a gift? What did you do with the gift? Did you regift it? Do you remember any of the persons who gave you a gift? Did you like the gift? Did you ever wonder why a particular gift was given to you? Could you find one of those gifts today? I have received many gifts during my forty years of ministry. The gifts have come in many forms and style. The gifts were given to say thank you. This book is my attempt to say thank you for gifts given. The thank you is in the form of a reflection, prayer and scripture. The reflection sometimes describes a characteristic of the individual who gave the gift or an explanation about the situation surrounding the gift. Each reflection has a suggestive message to ponder. The prayer is for a quiet period of meditation. The scripture is for spiritual growth and study. The author is a retired minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination. He served four congregations and served as an Area Minister in the Southwest Region of his denomination. He has been a leader of spiritual retreats, conducted seminars for church leadership training, mentored young ministers and written liturgical worship/study material for congregations.

Rembrandt Harmenzoon van Rijn is considered the greatest visual Dutch artist of his time because his paintings evoke emotion and motive. Inside Envisioning the Future of Consecrated Life: Its Beauty and Challenge During these Troubled Times, author Eileen Jaramillo features this painter's biblical art to stir the reader into deep thought about the person of Christ, the universal call to respond to a world in turmoil, and the particular charism of women and men religious within that framework. Women and men religious are consecrated in a special way because they have committed themselves to the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience. This is radical living of the life of Christ within the world. Here, the author addresses the challenges that are as much a part of the lives of religious as they are for others-secularism, injustice, poverty, and the environment-while also highlighting the distinctive Spirit-centered charism of women and men religious as the foundation for their particular response to these challenges. It is well known that the number of Catholic nuns, sisters, brothers, and priests has declined since the 1960s. Using statistics from the Center for the Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA), the author looks at that decline along with the way women and men religious are re-envisioning their lives through mergers, unions, and reorganizations. Furthermore, Jaramillo offers insight into new religious communities that are coming into existence and the new form of consecrated life that is emerging. Envisioning the Future of Consecrated Life gives voice to what younger sisters are saying about the future. In these pages, the beauty of consecrated life resonates while the challenges are not ignored. The future of consecrated life is becoming a reality in the present. Right now, this very moment in time, presents an exciting adventure for women and men religious to transform the world by living their radical commitment to Christ the way it was lived in the past.

  • - A 40 Days Prayer Guide Book
    av Dr Kabuin Thaddeus Kabere
    245

Prayer is a truly heart-warming passionate release of a desperate call to a daily communion with God the creator of all things. Prayer provides a railway line for the locomotive journey transporting God’s heavenly blessings to an agonizing intercessor. From Genesis to Revelation, God is calling his children to intercession. All children of God, Jews and Gentiles, obedient and disobedient children are encouraged to come to God, in good times and in bad times. God is exposed as standing with an open arm patiently waiting for all to come home to God. So that God will be our God and we will all be his people. Prayer Communion guide book provides that opportunity for everyone to spend 40 Days 4o Nights of Prayer Communion with Almighty God.At the age of about 15yrs, Dr. Kabuin Thaddeus Kabere trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior from sin. Completely convicted by God’s word in the Book of James 1:2 “Count it all joy my brethren when ye fall into divers temptations” (KJV) For the very first time he saw the need for a savior. During that Sunday morning service the teenage young man will not rest until he later kneeling by his dormitory bed side invited Jesus Christ into his heart for salvation. The next day (Monday) he stormed into the School Chaplains office, and the Chaplain prayed again with him, and send him off to the local Baptist Pastor’s office to prepare for Baptism. After enquirers class the young man was baptized by immersion on the 24th of March 1984 at Ebenezer Baptist Church at the foot of Mt Fako; Buea. The young man grew up to become a youth Pastor, a Pastor, a Church Planter, and Missionary.

Before the creation of man in the Garden of Eden, God’s ultimate goal was to ‘marry’ man into the Godhead, and Satan’s rebellion and continued opposition to God is directly traceable to this fact. The Nephilim were the face of this opposition in the Pre-Flood world, while Nimrod of Babel (Babylon) was the pioneer face of this rebellion in the Post-Flood world. According to the book of Daniel, the final kingdom of this world shall be a two-in-one, feet of iron and clay kingdom of Babylon, and their final kings (who are revealed in this book) must be revealed before the rapture of the Church, as stated in Chapter two of Second Thessalonians. Ultimately, but imminently, the will of God shall be accomplished at the rapture, when the Head and second person of the Godhead (Jesus Christ), will fuse as one with His Body – the Church. In other words, THE CHURCH IS LIVING RIGHT NOW IN A TIME OF EMERGENCY. RISE UP THEREFORE AND JOIN THE CAMP OF THE WISE VIRGINS!MIDNIGHT NOW is a potentially controversial, but most important spiritual resource for the Church of the last days generation.Rev. Dr. Ike Odumodu is the Founder and President of Gideon Bridegroom Ministry International (GBMI), the parent body of Noah’s Ark Household Fellowship (NoAHFel) – a ministry committed to preparing the Church of Jesus Christ for the rapture, and which produces weekly bible study outlines every month for household/family use. He was called into ministry in 2011, and was charged by the Lord - “Tell my people to get ready—that I am coming soon.” God gave him an end-time ministry to the Church, commanded him to write a book, and told him - “When the book is finished, your ministry will start.” He is currently based in the United States.

Los RegaIos is the story of the lives of a few of those ordinary people. A young woman travelling through Tyler City encounters a surprise. And, as life would have it, she is not alone. Some of the residents of Tyler are also in for a surprise of their own. Through the laughter and the tears, and wavering faith in God, they struggle to hold on to their hopes, dreams and one another.
