  • - A Journal to Renew & Rebuild Your Life in Christ
    av Diane Blacker
    259,-

This is the third book in my series to bring healing and restoration for people who have been wounded and scarred by abuse and maltreatment in their lives. Their wounds run deep and most often the memories and pain remains unhealed. The trauma frequently overshadows attempts to move forward in life and become the person they dreamed of being. My first book in this series is, "The Spiritual Roots of Abusive Relationships". The second book is, "Forever Free from the Wounds of Your Past". The majority of wounded people have been unable to comprehend why they have been abused by family members, friends, strangers and the person they vowed to share their life with in marriage. Why and how could this happen? These books explain from the Scriptures what has happened in the lives of people who become abusive and how they take out on others the pain they suffered earlier in life. I first wrote this Journal in 1994 as I was healing after leaving a 42 year abusive marriage. I told no one, except my mother & brother about my life and did not share these three books until two years after my former husband passed away in 2013. In the years of our marriage I had a nationwide teaching ministry where the Lord allowed me to teach others about the love of our Savior and how to become all that God designed for them. These Spiritual Roots are worked out in their treatment of others - strangers, innocent family members, their children and their spouse. Verbal abuse often leads to physical abuse and the wounded people frequently carry their pain throughout life. Now with this understanding and knowledge, wounded people can be totally healed of their pain - so their memories no longer cause pain. That's the value of appropriating the promises found throughout the Word of God. In Your Forty Day Journal, many topics are explained and the reader has the ability to answer questions and put their feelings on paper. This allows them to think through their feelings and gain insight into the solutions offered in the book. Traumatic events leave people with so many unanswered questions. Pent up painful emotions need to be released. By writing out these deep needs allows the person to see for themselves how applying the solutions in these books will bring lasting healing and give each one the ability to rebuild their lives both emotionally and in practical ways that give them solid structure on which to grow and become the person they knew they could be. The peace of Christ will be theirs and their deepened union with their Savior will give them joy unspeakable and full of glory!

Domestic violence, rape, prison, homelessness, food insecurity, and cancer have given Yvette Carter the compassion and ability to minister to others. Read her heart-rending story of living in the streets, dealing drugs, and leaving her two young children with her mother when she was sent to prison for six years, followed by losing everything, being homeless, hungry and without hope. That despair drove her to beg for food at St. Paul, where she found God's redeeming grace. Then God began to unravel her crazy life and give her the marriage and ministry He uniquely created her for. Having walked in those same footsteps, her story will encourage those who are homeless and hungry and without hope to cry out to God who is the solution to your brokenness. There is hope for you! God sees your tears and pain and wants to heal you, just as He mended her. If you believe there is no hope for "outcasts" to change, we pray you will be impacted by Yvette's living example of how God changes people and their circumstances. Will you invest in the lives of others, giving words of encouragement and hope, instead of judgment and condemnation, showing Jesus to all who need Him? Yvette Carter is Director of Open Arms Ministry, an outreach of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Largo, Florida, where she initially came seeking food for her family. She is also President and CEO of Victor Newman Ministries, serving alongside her husband, Michael, an ordained Free Methodist Minister. Jeannette (Wayman) Meitz, a spiritual mentor, finds joy in guiding women to trust God and depend on the Holy Spirit daily. With her husband, Frank, she is active in the Discipler Training International ministry, and is on the Board of Victor Newman Ministries, and learning from Yvette how to be the "hands and feet of Jesus."

Raised in Lancaster, Pa., Cynthia (Candy) Lavender, the mother of five children decided to pursue her passion...writing. After having careers in nursing, cosmetology and administrative fields, and raising her children, she decided to pursue her love of writing; which included poetry and children's books. Her one desire was to write a children's book about the conflicts and loneliness a deaf child endures in our so-called "perfect word". In some sense, it was an easy enough task because she had seen the effects of being deaf; one of her beloved grandchildren was stricken with a disease at two months old that left him deaf. Hopefully, this book will enlighten a child that is deaf to see how another child learns to love and live in a world that sometimes shuts you out because of you affliction.

Do you believe in love at first sight, while maintaining a long and loving marriage? Two Lives Put on Hold is a true story of a man and woman who fell deeply in love at first sight and didn''t know it. There was a lot of good and bad memories within our marriage. Through faith and trust in God, we overcame many challenges, tragedies, disappointments, helplessness, and tears. We made it through with many prayers. My life with Carl changed dramatically when he contracted Guillain Barre Syndrome. This change also affected all of our family and friends lives. Without God''s strength, mercy, and hope, our journey would have been much more difficult. Many people have asked me the question, "How did I manage to take care of Carl for so long?" My response was, "There was a lot of prayer that went into everyday experiences." May this book bring comfort to those that are seeking answers in their own lives. God is so good.

God has given every person on the face of planet earth the will to make choices in this life. Our choices will determine where we will spend eternity. Unfortunately, majority of people make wrong choices or decisions which land them in situations or circumstances they cannot get out of either because it is too late or they feel powerless or choose not to do anything about them. The main reason for these wrong choices in the early years of adulthood of any person is lack of spiritual knowledge of God's original plan and purpose and will for our lives in this world. This book gives you God's perspective in the choices you make that will lead you to receiving eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus, our Saviour and Lord. The Holy Bible is the 'WORD' of God- the source of all spiritual truth, which is the 'Will' of God for all His creation in this world. Without a doubt, the 'WORD' of God is the Authority of God, by which anyone who believes it, will receive Godly wisdom and revelation knowledge to make the right choices in this life.

This book, written by Dr. Kenneth R. Kemp, a pastor of an urban predominantly African American church, addresses the critical issues facing persons who may feel left out by recent dramatic changes in the fiber of America. A Cry During Crisis reviews major domestic events of contemporary US history affecting marginalized congregants from 2012 to the present and seeks to put these often painful events into Christian perspective through sermonic proclamation. It honestly and poignantly deals with the hurts and disappointments that many persons have experienced in recent times. From the killing of Trayvon Martin to the mass shootings in churches and schools across America to the riots in Ferguson to the protests in Charlottesville, there have been numerous events in recent history that have caused Christians from minority or disenfranchised backgrounds to feel left out, looked over, or left behind. The pastors of churches comprised of such persons must address those concerns using the examples and instructions of Holy Scripture. Even when addressing such issues is considered to be too political or too secular for the church, the pastor must don the mantle of prophet and comment on the crisis that tugs at the hearts of the congregation. While addressing these turbulent issues, this collection of sermons from the pastor''s pen also offers hope and inspiration. Furthermore, it is a cry that challenges the reader to action to ensure that every one of God''s children is honored and respected."When the world appears to be crumbling, when pain permeates the predicament when sadness and sorrow appear to be salient; the pastor must stand and assure the people that Christ still cares, that all is not lost, that a better day is still coming..."

Empecemos ahora, no mañana.

Raising a Prodigal...Broken Marriages...Unfulfilled Promises...Painful Tribulation...Sometimes Love just isn''t enough. What do you do when you have done all you can do and the pain of someone''s actions are killing you? What do you do when your love just isn''t enough? Before God called me to become a full-time pastor, I spent nineteen years teaching and coaching high school students in the public school setting. I have seen countless children make destructive decisions, and have watched as they suffered the consequences of their choices. At the same time, I witnessed the torture of many a mother as they were left at home worrying about the fate of their dearly loved child. These are the times that a mother must sacrifice her worry on God''s altar and learn through passionate intercession to hold to the promises He has given in His Word. In my own life I have experienced the Power of a Praying mom. I am still alive because of the prayer of my Mom. James 5:16 teaches us that effective fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. Learn to impact an entire generation as you learn to Pray Momma Pray!
