  • - Devotional and Journal
    av Nicole Johnson-Knowles
    245

    - Did you know that spiritual wellness has everything to do with our acceptance of God's will for our lives? - Did you know that how we think affects the way we respond to what God says? God offers the best solution to every concern. All we have to do is talk to Him about it in prayer, wait patiently, and He will resolve it in His own way and time. Romans 12:2 declares, "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." In "Twelve Months of Healthy Meditation, Prayer and Simple Faith Declarations, Devotional and Journal," Nicole Johnson-Knowles in her loving but straightforward style offers encouragement and hope, inviting readers to meditate upon God's Word addressing monthly themes like Living by Faith, God Bless our Nation, Release from Suicidal and Destructive Thoughts and Rooted in Christ. At the end of each month, readers are encouraged to pray then declare His Word over their lives and every circumstance. No matter what you may be facing today, you will be made stronger with insights from "Twelve Months of Healthy Meditation, Prayer and Simple Faith Declarations." This book will build your faith and help you to experience greater levels of spiritual wellbeing.

  • av Ian Gemmill

"This is the extended journey of an African and a Caucasian to China. They were mature sojourners from two different continents, the African man from Africa via USA and the Caucasian man from New Zealand, sometimes called a mini-continent. Both travelled there to teach because they were intrigued with the emergence of China on the world's centre stage following years of relative isolation. Because of their own backgrounds their world views were not the same but now they were living in a domain foreign to both of them. Each wanted to be enriched by their experiences in China but here was where their worlds would collide. Sometimes Chinese world views would clash with theirs and sometimes they would resonate. They often compared notes. Both returned from their years in China significantly changed, one in a positive way, the other negative, possibly tragic." "Ian Gemmill is a descendant of gold prospectors who followed the nineteenth century Gold Rush to California, Australia and ultimately New Zealand to finally settle on the South Island's West Coast. He trained at Canterbury University Engineering School at Ilam in Christchurch and practised as a civil engineer and oil industry engineer for thirty years before retraining as a high school teacher. After his teaching initiation in Wellington he extended his teaching experience to England and China. He continues to teach today but considers himself semi-retired."

  • - Foundational Perspectives upon which the Next Generation Builds
    av Glen P Rolle
    245

This author sought to maximize his prosecutorial mindset in articulating and making a case for why there can be only one appropriate response to the mounting challenges we face nationally and globally. The authors own dark medical experience, coupled with Dr. Myles Munroe's shocking death, days after his Prophetic Declaration, compels us to embrace a generational moment. Heaven had spoken, the divine was at work and an injection of Grace would be at work. The Mantle of Grace is meant to serve as the vehicle of choice, the means by which we navigate difficult and challenging moments. Embracing darkness, not as our demise but rather a signal that the dawn of A New Day is upon us. "I cause men to triumph over you, but I brought you into your wealthy place." With lasting footprints of family and friends robed in grace, having gone home to their eternal rest. The Mantle of Grace seized this rich lineage, coupled with historical biblical moments and accurately points to the way forward. The Mantle of Grace serves as a foundation of righteousness from which our communities are transformed and many worlds are reconciled.

In order to see the Silver Lining in any given situation, one must have Hope, Vision, Faith in God, Yourself, and others. Without Hope, life would be without purpose. Without Vision, no direction. Without Faith in God, no foundation for anything to be based upon.. Also, without Faith in Yourself, self doubt and self sabotage would be inevitable. Without Faith in others, one's ability to love simply would fall short. At least, that has been my experience..

  • - Remaining Balanced in an Unbalanced Sociopolitical Environment
av II Armour & Michael S
    249

Pastor Armour uses the vertigo that he experienced in an amusement attraction as a metaphor for the spiritual vertigo of the modern Church. Vertigo is a feeling of dizziness or lightheadedness. While the author touches on several areas, he zeroes in on the dizzying impact of politics upon the Church and the individual Christian. Both the Church and individual Christians have lost their balance, their perspective, their voice and their purpose. Armour not only discerns various impacts of this spiritual vertigo upon the Church and its members but also gives astute Biblical advice to help both regain their equilibrium. This is not only a brilliant prophetic and Biblical perspective; it is also a timely book as modern local churches are struggling with their identity, calling, and purpose. While looking towards a positive future, Pastor Armour considers the past and discerns the present. Gain your Biblical, spiritual, political and practical balance by Avoiding Spiritual Vertigo. Michael S. Armour, II is the founder and pastor of the Disciples of Christ in Akron, OH. He came to know Christ at the age of thirteen at Church of God M.P.G.T., where he was raised. Mike is mentored by senior pastor and founder of The House of the Lord, Bishop Flanvis Josephus Johnson (Bishop Joey), and is a student of Ashland Theological Seminary. An avid reader, Mike claims Ancient Near Eastern cultural anthropology, Patristic Literature, Eastern Orthodox Tradition and Armenian Theology as his favorite areas of exploration. His favorite quote is, "God can work miracles with broken things."

  • - Even the winds and the waves obey him!
    av Nkechi Chinedum Uwaga
    175,-

Suddenly, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" He replied, "You of little faith why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and waves obey Him!" Matthew 8:24-27 (NIV) Often, we can find ourselves lost in the wonder of what God is capable of. But, we can also at times lose track of what it means to be children of God. Many believe that if you walk with the Lord that you should not face trials, but this is not true; rather, you walk with the Lord through the trials. He can calm the raging storm in an instant, but sometimes we must face it with Him. In her book, What Kind of Man Is This?, author Nkechi Chinedum Uwaga shares a glimpse into her loving relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ. Her personal testimonies provide a thoughtful and insightful look into the glory that the Lord is capable of and what life can look like if you are close to the Lord. This journey of love, faith, God's faithfulness, and answered prayers invites others to embrace the Savior in their lives. The path that God led Nkechi and her family down is now the bedrock of her faith. She is sharing her story here in hopes that you may find similarities with your own experiences and see how the Lord may work in your life. Discover how the Lord will help provide for you, will answer prayers, and can bless your life. If you are in the eye of a storm, cling to the Lord. • - The Peace Of God In Jesus Christ
    av Voice Guy
    175,-

Throughout my study of the Bible, in preparation for this journey, I noticed that God's people suffered multiple episodes of heartache, despair, bondage, loss, pain, rough terrain travel and many other impediments to deter them from reaching the predestined goals set by God for them. God's people were not spared life lessons because of who they were. God wanted the lessons learned along the way to provide valuable insight into the expectations which He had determined for their good. God desired peace and harmony for His creation because both would allow them to work together in love. He had already demonstrated how His Love had protected them, provided for them, and sustained them in all unforeseen circumstances, and surely His people would recognize God's Amazing Love, and therefore follow His directives, and live a life of abundance. A defining factor for me was that when we learn to love our God with all might, heart and soul, then, we understand that love is the prerequisite to all good things. When we love one another as God commanded, we can accept that there can never be genuine peace without genuine love.
