As I write this book, I can feel all the heart felt pain, one a mother must feel to see her child lost in a world of drugs and crime. This is a true story of what actually happened to my brother Jimmy. Thank God he found a way out and lived to tell his story. I''m writing this book in hope that someone can truly see, there is a way out of the darkness. My brother survived homeless, drugs, sickness and near-death experience. He now tells other they can find hope and peace in the Lord. I pray that as you read this story, you''ll share it with others who needs a better direction in life. Gale Newman was born and raised in Turlock, California. He attended U.C. Berkeley on an athletic scholarship. After graduation, he attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. From that school, he received a Masters of Divinity degree and a few years later, a Doctor of Ministry degree. He has served churches in Oregon, Indiana and California. While serving those churches, he instituted Home Bible studies, believing them to be invaluable for Christians to grow in their faith. A desire to provide Biblical material to be used during that portion of the meeting when the Bible was being studied resulted in this book being written. And no matter what if we train our children now, they will never forget it when they are old. Years ago, I started putting up social media posts to uplift, encourage and motivate my friends because I was so tired of seeing all the negative things. Helping people focus on the good - see and believe it. And when I coupled that with my faith, that was special. So when God put it on my spirit to write a book, the first thing I thought about was affirmations. I don''t say them every day, but I do feed myself positive scripture every day. So I took what I do and coupled it with those affirmations to create this book. When you feed on the positive things, you will attract more positive things to you. It wasn''t until 1997 that my life changed when I was diagnosed with a rare cancer, stage 3. I had a reoccurrence in 2008 and was able to complete my master''s degree in psychology. Through this, I learned who God is and my Christian journey began. I am married to Bishop A.L. Cobbs, Jr. of 35 years, we have two children, a son-in-love, and a grandson.
