"It is not taboo to go back and fetch what you forgot." The West African concept of "Sakofa" teaches us that in order to understand our future, we must go back to examine our past. In this process, we discover that everything that has been lost can be found again. In this compelling book, author Kwamane O. Harris discusses how we can apply this principle in our lives and use it to propel ourselves as well as future generations into a better and brighter future. Pushing the Generations Forward by Kwamane O. Harris, MBA, CPLC is an inspiring book which delves deep into issues including spirituality, racism, oppression, mental health, purpose, growth and fixed mindsets, brain science, and resilience. In the book, the author shares how the mentality of pushing the generations forward saved his life, allowing him to adopt a mindset and see life outside of himself, one outside of generational trauma, poverty, depression, and systemic racism and oppression. The mindset of pushing the generations forward provided Kwamane with purpose that helped him persevere through the challenges of life, and it will do the same for readers. Through his words, he emphasizes that we must survive because the next generation is counting on us. It is up to us to make the world a better place for them, and in doing so, we will find the purpose and fulfilment we have been searching for. As the recipient of the Utah's Business Magazine Top 20 in their 20's award, Kwamane's life has been devoted to helping others in some way. Kwamane has been supporting at risk youth and families for the last 15 years, and he has a proven ability to engage youth and families through advocacy, civic engagement, and evidence-based prevention programming. Most recently, Kwamane worked with the United Nations Civil Society Youth Committee that led outreach initiatives for the 68th Civil Society Conference, which was attended by 2,000 representatives from more than 500 civil society organizations from over 100 countries. Kwamane currently holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, an Master's Degree in Business Administration, and is a Certified Professional Life Coach. Kwamane enjoys sports, mountain biking, and just being able to connect with Friends and Family.

Broken but Not Destroyed is the third installment in the struggles in dealing with adversity in our daily lives naturally and spiritually. How Can I Escape represents the author's testimony of hardship from an abusive marriage, homelessness, and illness and how she wanted to escape it. However, instead of running away from her trials and tribulation, she ran to God, who taught her to endure, persevere, and triumph by being steadfast and faithful in her relationship with him. The second book entitled Enemy in the Mirror: A Journey Worth Fighting For describes how looking in the mirror, we marred the image of the Creator as sinful, wretched beings by reflecting a demonic image of debauchery, pride, selfishness, greed, promiscuity, lust, envy, and hatred towards one another. The Enemy in the Mirror explains we can change that image by pursuing the attributes that reflect God's image. Broken but Not Destroyed describes how we feel defeated, distraught, and discouraged by experiencing and enduring constant setbacks, disappointments, catastrophic events in our daily life. Broken but Not Destroyed is a roadmap on how we can pick ourselves up naturally and spiritually by discovering our Godly potential. God has not forsaken us in our time of need if only we would trust him. Minister and Evangelist Constance D. Dixon was born in Peoria, Illinois. She is a wife, mother of five (four girls and one boy), and a grandmother of two girls. Evangelist Constance D. Dixon is the daughter of Alvertus and Nancy Jenkins. As a young child, God blessed her with the gift of music and became a child prodigy by playing the classical piano competing throughout the United States. Evangelist Constance Dixon has a dual bachelor's degree in Music Performance: Applied Piano and Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources. She also has a double Masters' degree in Public Administration from APUS and an Executive Leadership from Liberty University. She is also an effective administrator in Human Resources, Education, and Healthcare Administration by implementing programs that have enhanced the livelihoods of all she has come across locally and regionally. She has created and published "Speaking Out 2-Day," a Newsletter that deals with the natural and spiritual man, and she is a Published Author of "How Can I Escape" and "Enemy in the Mirror a Journey Worth Fighting For." Minister and Evangelist Constance Dixon is grateful because"with all that God is given to me, I give unto Him the more for I take no credit nor thought for nothing except that Jesus is the Hope of Glory that is in me that strengthens and directs. For it is His power and His authority that He gives to whom He will". Her motto is: "What you see is what God has wonderfully and fearfully made."

Reframing the Curveballs Life Pitches Our Way! includes reflections from the author that share an encouraging attitude, a spiritual insight, and a step to consider at the end of each reflection. The author's thoughts are frequently blended with baseball analogies and metaphors. Life's challenges are not easy, just as baseball is not always easy. Life truly is like a baseball game...when you think a fastball is coming, you have to be ready to hit the curve! As a cancer survivor, the author shares "I've done a LOT of adjusting with my mindset over the years. I do know that when we encounter the often-monumental challenges that change can bring in our lives, no one can walk that path for us, but they can certainly walk it with us." This book offers hope, by encouraging you to stay at it, whatever that "it" may be in your life. By choosing to do some 'reframing' with your mindset, you will be abundantly fulfilled. The process is worth it! The game of baseball provides many lessons about success and failure, and those lessons can so often be applied in our life journeys. This book focuses on those lessons and can be used as a daily reflection to find a way forward, one step at a time whenever you may feel discouraged or need a boost. A reminder that so often in life, the difference between success and failure is belief, and so often someone who encouraged us instills that belief in us... Be an ENCOURAGER! Even in the midst of the Civil War, the war within one's heart seems to be the greatest of all. This is what Ella, a young wife experiencing the height of the Civil War, discovers when her family, her community, and her marriage are impacted in countless ways as the war reshapes and redefines all that she has come to know. In Straight Ways and Crooked Paths: Ella's Story, author Terri Lynn takes you deep into the heart of Missouri during the Civil War Era, as the citizens of this unique state are divided in their support for the Union and the Confederacy pitting neighbors against neighbors and family against family. As the war wages on, Ella's faith and Jackson's loyalty are put to the test, as the young husband and wife watch the world around them-and the hearts within them-change forever. In the face of fear, tragedy, and change, Ella finds strength in the presence of God who is with her always. She knows that He alone can make straight the crooked paths that we often find ourselves on in this life. Ella will see firsthand that even the most crooked of ways can be used for God's purpose, and the peace that lasts is only found by giving one's heart to Him. Terri Lynn is from the rural Midwest where she lives with her husband and children. She enjoys long walks along the countryside and observing the many varieties of birds and other wildlife around her home. Terri also loves history and has spent numerous hours researching her own family tree. Her love of family and discoveries about her ancestors have inspired many of her stories.

One day in the innocuous farming village of Thatcher, a baby girl is born-not just any baby girl, but one of destiny and purpose unlike anything seen in hundreds of years. Her arrival sets into motion a series of unusual and far-reaching events as powerful unseen forces of good and evil wage war over her and the future of her people which hangs in the balance. Thatcher: And So It Begins by Cheryl S. Birch is an exciting allegorical tale which transports readers into a world of fantasy and the supernatural. The Glorious One and His Guardians stand against the Prince of Darkness, Ev Ilone, and his Familiars as they seek to invade Peaceful Land, overthrow King Harmony, and destroy the child, who is the first Shining Warrior in 300 years. Neleh and Zenry, the last two believers in Thatcher, work to protect the child and hundreds more born after her as they have been tasked by The Glorious One's Son, Iam. While re-reading the classic Pilgrim's Progress in 2006, Cheryl began to see and hear another story as the world of Thatcher came to her in whole scenes, complete with dialogue. The routines and responsibilities of life caused delays, but retirement and the COVID lockdown provided the opportunity for this book's completion. The first in a series, it is an inspiring story that illustrates how easily worldly pursuits and things of darkness can take our focus away from God, trapping our souls, but it reminds us that God always has a plan for our deliverance. With Him, there is always hope, and He never gives up on sharing the good news of salvation and freedom through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Cheryl is a fantasy writer and poet who lives in the Central Valley of California with her husband and two rescue cats. The fourteen pound gray kitty is her loyal writing buddy. The other is a bit too snobbish to join in. Before discovery of her true calling-a fulltime writing career-she did a plethora of things including retail management, small business owner, district director for a California State Senator, founder and president of a nonprofit, and ten years as a local pastor/ministry leader. However, being a volunteer, helping others succeed, especially children, has been the heartbeat of her life. When asked about her journey to a career as a fantasy writer, Cheryl replied, "Sharing my God inspired stories has become a new passion, a mission, and an exciting, wonderful way of blessing others." This book is about a preacher's wife who lived in silent depression and learned survival skills by being emotionally isolated while sitting in church. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at the age of eighteen, and was called to ministry shortly thereafter in 1969.She received a prophetic word from her spiritual mom, who had a dream she had one eye open and one eye closed. She told her that she needed to be watchful because Satan was out to destroy her ministry. She was married at the age of twenty-four to a preacher who she thought was her prince charming. You are about to experience her real-life story as a preacher's wife. She believed that the prophetic dream of her spiritual mom was symbolic, and the interpretation was clear. Satan was going to attack her personal spiritual growth. The story unfolds: she became a divorcee and was left alone to raise three children. This is when she experienced the worst battles of her spiritual sanity. The book will inspire every unmarried person, divorcee, married couple, and parent not to give up on their loved ones, and will encourage widows to live after the death of a spouse. She learned the four principles of life: love God, love your family, love your church, and love people. These are the keys to successful living.

The heart of our journey is to awaken to this spirit within. The point is not to have a perfect life and realize every expectation. Something else is at work in life-something with a totally different purpose. I'd spent enough years devoted to how I wanted (expected) life to be. Now it was time to turn to life as it is and begin that pilgrimage. I had to be willing to slow down and move the way life is moving. "Life in the west is up to ninety miles an hour," observed John O'Donohue, "and at ninety miles an hour you can be up to many things, but not presence." I had to join life, move with her ... feel her lifeblood in my own. Fr. John Gordon OMI is part of the religious community of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. He was ordained on June 2, 2001 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hicksville NY. Presently Fr. John serves as the pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church in San Antonio TX for the last 13 years. He is blessed to serve this wonderful parish family.

The American society is currently infused with the effect of indiscipline which displays itself in systemic racism, prejudice, police brutality and school shootings. This situation originated from the historical development of Jim Crowism laws of 1807-1859.The social reform of 1820 - 1899 influenced the supreme Court in Plessy VS Ferguson which decided in 1899 that all students should be equally tutored but in segregated locations. The architects of this movement continued their protest and meetings. Consequently, the Supreme Court's ruling in the case of Ferguson Vs Board of Education resulted in a subsequent ruling in 1954 which eliminated segregation in schools. Gummer Myrdal the author of American Dilemma, mentioned in his writings acts of historical and systemic racism in America. His work was sponsored and published by the Carnegie foundation. He substantiated his views with supporting evidence of racism involving the treatment of African American soldiers who fought in the American wars alongside their white counterparts. Ralph Bunche the distinguished Afro American representative to the United Nation who negotiated peace in the Middle East was internationally recognized for his work. Despite Bunche' popularity, his achievements, and accolades, he was subjected to racism in a certain middle-income community in New York where he resided. The application of current education policy, racial justice, the unequal distribution of economic benefits and the exclusion of the bible in public administration, the Family and the schools are devastating. The racist manner infractions of school rules are being administered help to create frustrations and added misbehavior in the society. The conduits from school to prison idea which originated from the 'zero Tolerance in school policy' is devastating. The indiscriminate killing of African American by the police and other acts of police brutality are concerning. The problems of the Corona Pandemic, the 2020 Presidential elections and the attempted insurrection are all evidence of not just an Impending disaster but the beginning of a dilemma, or chaos. The author of this book Selbourne Reid is a retired Detective Inspector of Police from the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Selbourne observed the need to address the plight of children who were getting themselves in trouble with the law. He observed that most of the young people who were getting themselves in trouble with the law were from Inner city communities and that they needed better parenting. He after studying 'Child evangelism' sought and obtained permission from his supervisors to do and did voluntary social work in some of these inner cities in Jamaica for many years. Retiring from the Force he immigrated to the USA and was employed with the city of New York for about eight years. He was first employed as a Child Welfare and Foster Care Investigator and later as a Probation Officer. He relocated to Florida where he was first employed as a Child welfare and abuse investigator and later as a substitute (by choice) classroom schoolteacher. With the avalanche of mass school shootings, Selbourne decided to investigate and ascertain some causes of these shootings. His investigations revealed -in his opinion- that Indiscipline, an Irrelevant 'out of touch 'Education policy, along with Historical and Systemic racism are the main causes of twenty years of mass school shootings in America, as well as other social ills in the American society. He also projected the view that the causes identified in the above paragraph have had such an effect on the nation, that they together have placed America in a state of an Impending Dilemma or Chaos. Selbourne graduated from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, with a bachelor's in Public Administration. He also attended the graduate teachers' program (GTEP) at Nova South Eastern University Florida and Liberty University in the M.Th. program ('I")

We do not have a divorce problem in our society; we have a problem of people marrying for the wrong reasons and not understanding the meaning of love. This book shares what the author has learned from the Bible about love and marriage. It is the story of turning marriage failure into marital joy by doing marriage God's way. Frederick was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was raised as an only child in a culturally Christian extended family. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Janet Love. At the age of fifty-one, Jesus of Nazareth came into his life, freeing him from the chains of sin and the fear of death. Having failed twice at marriage, he turned to the Bible to learn how to succeed. So far it seems to have worked for twenty-seven years. Frederick has led a weekly men's Bible study for more than fifteen years and has written this book to share what he has learned along the narrow path from Jesus.

I share how my relationship with God, My Journey with God, brought me to joy and success. I share how His strength and guidance brought me through the difficulty of two sexual assaults and how God was with me in the USAF. When our son, survived a life-threatening insult through a miracle by God, My Journey with God took another turn on my already twisted path.as I lost each of my beloved parents within a year of each other. God gave me, my husband and our very dear friends strength and courage as we celebrated our Anniversary and the restaurant we were dinning at was held up by two-armed robbers. Through shock and dismay, we witnessed our dear friend being shot as he attempted to thwart the robbers, saving us and the restaurant patrons who were present as they tried to celebrate New Year's Eve. After I retired from 30+years in Social Services, I received my Bachelor and Master's Degrees and Ordination from a small non-denominational Church. My childhood dream was to anchor the nightly news. As an eight-year-old little girl, using a hairbrush as my pretend mic, I would practice my scripts, standing in front of my bedroom mirror. Dreams come true, and in my twenties, I became a news anchor. Then, tragic news followed, and the love of my life was gone. In my grief, I ran into the arms of someone other than God. I was vulnerable and broken, and the devil knew just how to deceive me. But when I surrendered it all to God, He gave me beauty for ashes and answered a prayer I offered at just sixteen years old that changed my life. God wrote a new script for my life, and it was tagged with sensational headlines, better than I could have imagined. If that's you, don't believe the devil's lies, go after God with all your strength. He will turn the twisters and tornadoes of your life into bright, sunny days. "One of the first things you notice about Katie when you meet her is the gleam in her eyes. How can a person who has experienced so much hurt shine so brightly? It's through the telling of her story that you'll find the answer. When you realize her light comes from a source that's also available to you, you'll want to hear how she got there. I encourage everyone who is hurting or seeking to help the hurting to read this story and find out how you, too, can find a way to shine." - Tim Glenn, former news anchor and co-worker "Katie Bethel Holmes is an inspiration to me and all those who know her! Her story of how God brought her from great loss to a place of strength and restoration is a must read!" -Rebecca D.
