In Recovering Biblical Discipleship: What Discipleship Was Supposed to Be, and Maybe Christianity Too, author Brian Burson gives readers a guide to why and how true biblical discipleship can and must be recovered and reestablished, according to God's clear instructions found in Scripture. In spite of Christ's Great Commission, Christian discipleship has been tragically ignored, misunderstood, misguided, and neglected for centuries. Through the ages, Christianity has recognized Christ's command known as the Great Commission, and directed His followers to go throughout the world and make disciples. The Church has believed this Great Commission, but has been mainly devoted to sharing the gospel of Christ, not on the spiritual discipleship which Christ taught. Instead of teaching Christ-followers to live out all of His teachings, we have focused on doctrine, theology, and entertaining preachers. This book asserts that Christians must correct our mistakes and take the true path to biblical discipleship.

I, as the author of this book, absolutely hate religion. By religion I mean anything attached to the Bible itself. Religion attached to the Bible would be things like: "Do this, don't do that. Say this, don't say that. Wear this, don't wear that. Young man, your hair better not be touching your shoulders or you're going straight to hell. And young lady, you're dress better be past your ankles." The unfortunate thing about Christianity is that the whole unbelieving world is seeing Christianity through the eyes of religion. The Bible itself is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16). Anything outside of the Bible is nothing more than man made religion. In the small town that I live in, I get several religious people knocking on my door asking me: "Can we talk to you about Jesus?". I tell them NO then shut the door. Why? Because I already know that the only thing I will get from them about Christianity is the Name of Jesus, and everything after that will be about their church doctrines and traditions. Religion binds people, true Christianity doesn't. Please keep an open mind as you read this book. It's intended for freedom, not bondage.

Every child of a holy God has unique gifts and talents. These gifts are to be used to help the Body of Christ grow into maturity. This book, The Awakening and the Calling of the Holy Spirit, is the Lord's voice for all who are seeking a closer walk with Yahweh, a faithful, loving Father. As we listen, obey, and yield to that still, small voice, we become more like our Savior, Jesus. Allow the Holy Spirit to impart wisdom, knowledge, and sometimes correction. Each of these poems, illustrations, and lessons was written and designed under the direction and inspiration of a righteous God. My prayer for those who read this book is that the Lord would give each child of the King ears to hear and a heart to understand what the Spirit is speaking today! Creating a book was never a goal of mine, but the Holy Spirit had a different plan for me. Not only did He ask me to write this book; but also gave me the title and the illustrator He had chosen. Over the years I have learned to recognize the Spirit's voice and have written His words in poetic form. However, lately His voice has changed in intensity and in warnings. In my first book, My Journey with the Lord, the Spirit revealed His character and His heart. Just recently in a church service, I heard the Spirit say that my first book was written in preparation for a greater work. In Luke 12:48 the Word states, "For him who has been given much, much will be demanded." (Complete Jewish Bible). Allow the Spirit to speak to you and draw you into a deeper revelation of the eternal Yahweh!

For most of Christian history, learning about Christ could not be done through personal reading, as the majority of the world could not read. Learning was done through listening to preaching, and through the singing of hymns. The events of Holy Week, from the triumphal entry of Christ in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, to the Cross of Good Friday, to the glorious Resurrection on Pascha, have been taught throughout the centuries primarily through song. In fact, the most well-known Orthodox hymn, "Christ is Risen", provides in 22 words, a summary of the Resurrection and its meaning for Christian salvation. Holy Week in the Orthodox Church is a journey of nine days and nearly 20 services, that returns us to Jerusalem 2,000 years ago through Scripture, ritual and, most especially, hymnology. Scripture captivates the mind. Ritual captivates the eyes. Hymnology stirs our souls to spiritual renewal, captivating our emotions and our hearts. The Greatest Story Ever Sung: Reflections on the Hymns of Holy Week in the Orthodox Church reflects on both the well-known and lesser-known hymns of the services of the Orthodox Holy Week. It will take you on a journey not only to the week of Christ's Passion, but to the depths of your own faith. This book will capture your emotions, warm your heart and restore your spirit. It will help you remember the saving work of Jesus Christ and allow you to more deeply appreciate Holy Week services in the years to come. The foreword is written by Christopher Kypros, a dedicated choir director and composer, who has poured his soul into leading choirs in singing these beautiful hymns. The author of the book, Fr. Stavros Akrotirianakis, has celebrated the services of Holy Week for more than 25 years. Consisting of 61 short reflections, this book guides the reader from the Saturday of Lazarus through the Agape Vespers on Pascha, taking us on a familiar journey that many of us know through Scripture, but, instead, leading us by way of the beautiful and powerful hymns that comprise the greatest story ever sung.

George's words, laced with humor and authenticity, are a time capsule back to a simpler time. These reflections from his life span decades and time zones, but stay squarely focused on the threads he's woven throughout: faith and family. This is a treasure trove of true stories and reflections of a life well lived for God. -Vikki Spencer, M.Ed., author of FearLessFridays: Notes from a Small Woman in a Big Big World. I began at a young age writing songs and poems; I've been doing that my whole life. When I started writing my stories, I took that same poetic prose and applied it to my writing. The book starts out in the vault that is in my mind, and wanders through a life completely devoid of anything that would resemble a career. My readers are often surprised where the next story will take them. Starting out in Minnesota, to Washington State, on to Canada just south of the Arctic Circle, all the way down to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in the Caribbean, and finally ending up in the beautiful mountains of Western Montana. I hope you will enjoy what has taken me a whole lifetime to experience.

"Would you like to come and walk with me?" Ian/Danny said to Beth. Ian, being the gentleman that he always was he held out his arm for her to take. They came to the Gazebo and stopped. The moon and the stars looked just right. Moving in a little closer and without asking he immediately pulled her close to him and kissed her. He did so in a rather rough manner, so she pulled away and slapped him. He looked at her stunned and said: "Well, that is what you were hoping for wasn't it! You! You and those men who say they are my brothers tricked me!" He stormed off down the stairs at the same time Beth ran crying back into the dormitory. She didn't know what to think or what to do other than she decided that she no longer wanted Ian/Danny or whoever he decided to be! I have always wanted to write a story. I first started to write for a fanfiction site, it felt like a dam had been broken and I found I could not stop writing. I then took a chance and decided to publish my story. I hope you enjoy this story as I have more that are waiting to be told. Any resemblance to characters from any tv shows I might have watched or any book I read is purely coincidental.

Originally from Denver, CO, I currently reside in Wheat Ridge, CO. I am retired with five children and fifteen grandchildren. I love music, drawing, crafting, writing in my spare time and spending time with family and friends. "Divorced and in the Church" came from my realization of the many divorced women in the Church with the same or similar struggles and conflicts as my own and my desire to help them remain strong in their faith. God never stops directing us to Him. We choose which direction we'll take. My struggles as a divorcee didn't stop at being hurt emotionally. My children needed care and healing. I had to start at zero where my finances were concerned. Spiritually, I remained faithful for a season, but the weight and fatigue of responsibilities clouded my vision of God. Even when I thought God couldn't or wouldn't love me anymore, He remained faithful. His love drew me to Him. His Word revealed all the lies of Satan that I believed and the self-condemnation that came from those lies. I am a dear child of God. His Divine Providence guides and sustains me. As I continue to trust Him, His Spirit helps me to be more Christ-like each day. That means victory in my struggles and a place in the body of Christ designated by God Himself.

Parents Guilty Conscious is mostly about Parents who leave their children behind to go work in foreign countries for years hoping to enrich and change the lives of their children and family members left behind. Unknowingly to them this affects them as parents and also the children left behind lack of parental love, they grow without their parents, but they gain the better life that their parents never had. The children are emotionally detached from the motherly love for years that can never be recovered. Then this comes with manipulation from relatives, friends and spouses or even grandparents who are left behind to take care of the children. The emotional, financial drain that comes with the separation and mostly being taken advantage of by the very people you trust, through monetary gains and black mail it's something I can never understand. I never knew I would be a young mother and would raise my children using video calls on computers and phones. How I manage is just a mystery. And I thank God for technology. The book is named Cherobet because it based on my 2 children mostly Chero is the short form of Cherotich (my daughter's name). Bet is Kibet my son's name. Emmah Achoch is a mother of three. Emma prefers using the name Sekeyi because it's her native name and it symbolizes the tribe on her mother's side. Emma will soon officially change to the name Sekeyi because she has used it since childhood. She has a podcast called Parent's Guilty Conscience and it's based on her book. Emma was inspired to change the podcast into a book and that is how Cherobet was born. Emma liked that she could freely express herself in her podcast. Emma's hobbies include writing, cooking, shopping and being with family. Before embarking on writing and podcasting, Emma wanted to study nursing which maybe she will but she is still debating on it. Emma grew up reading novels especially Romance and she has a weakness. Emma also loves buying clothes for every occasion. You can contact me on my email @achochachoch@gmail.com

The rainbow I mention and write about in this book is strictly in context of, and in reference to, a sign of remembrance of the Covenant God made with humanity. In no means is it referring to anything other than the rainbow that God Himself has set in the clouds. (Genesis 9:13) Ancient Hebrew alphabetical letters, numbers, and colors found in Scripture have meaning(s) for the divine purpose of Father God. They all reflect the love of Father God for us; the love of Christ Jesus for Father God and us; and the love and divine purpose of Holy Spirit within us. Everything I have written is a result of my personal growth regarding the mysteries in Scripture I have asked Father God about. This latest mystery fascinates me even more than my original question of Why do I envision numbers in color and colors with numbers? This new mystery has extended my research time to nearly two and a half years. Time well spent for I have found the mystery of the gospel of Jesus as: THE LAMB IN GOD'S RAINBOW, PROMISE OF LIFE AND LOVE! Nanette Crapo resides in the Houston area. She has two children: Anastasios Karamitsos II, wife Amy and son Christian; and son John Karamitsos. Her lifelong passion for books has become her main hobby. Who is God? Do you believe He exists? Do you think He wants a personal relationship with you? Who do you believe you are in God's eyes? New Christians, mature Christians, and those who are questioning what they believe, this Bible study guide was written with you in mind. Getting to Know Jesus Christ by Sherrie Pruitt is organized in a workbook format that spans a five-week period and sets the reader up to explore the characteristics and names of Jesus from the beginning of the alphabet to the end. As the reader searches for relevant verses for their daily reflection, they are encouraged to think deeply on what they learn about Jesus, His actions, His will, and His love. Pruitt's Bible study is intended for both group and individual study, prompting readers to reflect on God and His Word through personal reflection, group discussion, and scriptural insight from the author each week. As Pruitt led her ladies' Bible study, she felt the Spirit pushing her to begin writing down their discussions and create this study. Pruitt moves readers to search for Jesus in ALL of the Bible, not just the New Testament. This study will bring you to a greater understanding of who you are in light of Who Jesus is, inspire you to live transformed by His love for you, and help you reflect the love of Christ to all who are made in His image. Her prayer is that those who are still questioning what they believe will learn to love Jesus the way He loves each of us. Sherrie and her husband live in southeastern North Carolina. Their blended family consists of five adult children, eight grandchildren, and two very sassy dachshunds. Psalms Parallels by Sarah Rae compares world headlines of the current century with the narrative of the Book of Psalms. Prophecy collides with modern history in a fresh, new way as the Psalms tell the story of the regathering of Israel from the ends of the earth back into their homeland. From the fall of the Ottoman Empire to the birth of Israel in 1948, from Israel's victory in the Six Day War of 1967 to the aliyah of Beta Israel Jews from Sudan, from the Balfour Declaration to the Red Sea Diving Resort, from the Holocaust to the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital -- each exciting chapter reveals new revelations of God's heart for Israel. Each chapter includes a summarized theme from the respective psalm compared to an historical event from the parallel year of history. Psalm Parallels is a fascinating book that will help readers understand not only the relevance of prophecy in the Bible, but the applicability of it in our lives today. The revelations throughout Psalms all culminate in one thing: the return of the Jewish Messiah to Israel!
