Set in Chicago, The Exchange, A Planet Girl Adventure, is a fictionalized version of the 2008 economic meltdown that marked a turning point in the U.S. economy. The events that transpired during this time period collapsed the housing market, drove the economy into a ditch and increased the Federal Reserve's balance sheet to lofty levels that have only gained momentum over the next decade. The stories of the main characters - a syndicated newspaper astrologer and her assistant; an exotic dancer; a trader; a mobster and a prominent government head - weave together a fictional alternative tapestry, illustrating the underbelly of the machinations in the world of high finance.

This account begins with recollections of early childhood in pre-war Japan, and festive activities shared with her adoptive mother. Her teenage years fell under the shadow of war. A young soldier with whom she had a budding romance did not return from the fighting. She gives a harrowing account of her survival of the Atomic Bomb attack on Nagasaki. A chance encounter with the U.S. Marines in late 1945 led to her employment by the Occupation Forces. In 1953 she married a career army soldier and became an "Army Wife" in tours of duty in Germany, the United States and Puerto Rico. A return visit to Nagasaki in 1995 brought back a flood of memories of her childhood visit to the Okunchi Festival (Dragon Dance)

One of the vans carrying the phony "e;wine"e; is high-jacked and the station is told what it really is. Gross is desperate to find the van so Walnuts won't kill him. Sarah Grace runs the news department at the TV station and was called about the stolen "e;wine"e; van. On their first date, in Walnut's restaurant, his memory is triggered. It was an assignment in Atlanta to "e;take Walnuts out"e; for cocaine distribution and stealing military weapons and selling them to a Middle Eastern country. Crosby failed the mission. Crosby, suspects Grosses involvement, follows him to a meeting with Walnuts and then to a seedy sea port where Fat Tony, a Walnuts relative, helps get the phony "e;wine"e; off the ship. Crosby follows Gross to a warehouse in Little Havana and watches the "e;wine"e; changed into a high-end "e;wine"e; product not fit to drink. Importing the "e;wine"e; is only a test for Walnuts. He is planning on bringing in a large quantity of cocaine and Gross, learning about it, plans to steal it. Crosby, finding out what is hidden inside the "e;wine"e; barrel, is tasked again by "e;The Tribe"e; and government officials to "e;get the job done this time"e; and stop Walnuts before he gets the cocaine. It's Atlanta a second time. But a member of Walnuts "e;family"e; has other plans and something unexpected happens that Grace captures on film. Will Crosby's background be uncovered? Dream: Dream is the embryo of vision. Dreams are the blood of the soul. There are dreams meant to sustain you, and those meant to be lived. Dreams that carry you, and dreams you carry. Dreams of silence, and dreams of song. Dreams die, like the phases of the moon. Once, they lit your way; then they turn to darkness. The dream is a belly.
