If you have a desire to be set free of any worries that the speed of light may be a limit strictly imposed by Nature, but are intrigued by the speed of light, then this book is a great match for you.Essentially, I go to good lengths to explore how and why the speed of light as an ultimate limit enables far more exotic and wide-ranging travel than any otherwise superluminal warp drives, wormhole shortcuts through space-times, and the like. You, as reader, will hopefully not be off-put by my frequent discussion about GOD and Divine Providence in the context of exploring the perhaps utterly infinite scale of the cosmic order and the bold open-ended eternal opportunities for exploration. After all, if we assume that human civilization will in some way last forever, then such eternal duration may necessarily need to assume divine providence. Otherwise, we would almost certainly destroy our species with technology and non-sustainable practices. For conservative purists who are adverse to invoking the concept of a god in attempts at theoretical discourse, all I ask of you is to give this book a try. You will likely find the open ended speculation a joy in that you hopefully will come to see the glory in light-speed impulse travel in a brand new light.

Is about the Easter egg hunt of the apocalypse, the over cooked hamburger on a stale hamburger bun, the disappointment of an acne breakout just before the senior prom, the green hornet in your omelet, the pecker tracks on brand new sheets, skid marks in your underwear, and he holy book of consistent inconsistencies. Amen. I think. But maybe not.

The cover Photo of his "Hands" the author sculpted in 1974. It is an illustrationof life sinking and rising...hopefully, at last-rising. That is the theme of every poem or novel he's written. "I'm given to believe life is a prayer and Poetry a medium. For me to believe otherwise to forfeit life's sacredness.Poetry affirms life regardless of subject matter." Jerry James Rempp believes himself to be part mystic and part existentialist. His verses range from philosophical to the lyrical reflecting dreams of childhood. He compares himself similar to the universalism of Walt Whitman.

I decided on the title 'windows" because each poem came to me in a quick burst of energy. The way fresh air hits you when you open a window. Each poem is a window into my soul. You get to feel the emotion as I was experiencing it. I hope you can relate to them in some way. Most of them were about people or situations in my life. Some are just ideas from my imagination. I am not a college educated, literary scholar. I'm just a blue collar guy with an over active imagination. When I get an idea, if it is meant to happen, it just flows out of me. Generally, each poem takes 30 to 60 minutes to compose. Many of them are imperfect. For the most part, I have left them in their original form. The spiritual section portrays the highs and lows of my spiritual journey. The romance section is either the expression of my feelings for someone I cared for, or the idea of what I desire for myself. The miscellaneous section is just that. It is a collection of ideas that don't fit one of the two primary categories. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.

I've loved my best friend's little sister, Streeter, since puberty struck and she stopped being so annoying. Going away to college did nothing to stop me from protecting her mind body and soul. And everytime I saw her, the attraction was stronger for both of us. She called me to be her hero that night and things got out of hand.I definitely had to get away. She'll always be like a little sister to me. And there's no way I could continue to look on the side lines and allow her to constantly be hurt.Especially when one night of passion may have produced my baby.

American Legacy Collection is a book of short stories written in two parts. The first portion links the stories of four young friends who grow up together and go through a series of adventures as students in school and on into later life. It depicts their mischief, their industriousness (yes), their intellect, their love for each other, the military service of two of them and, finally, their tragic deaths as young adults. The most popular of the boys meets a mysterious death officially ruled a suicide -- or was it murder? The second part of the manuscript is a potpourri of short stories on many topics. These include the author sharing a pizza with Fidel Castro, a new, summarized version of the Challenger disaster, a comical takeoff on a Miami federal trial for mobster Meyer Lansky, a detailed report about Trinity Site in New Mexico where the first atomic bomb was tested, a bizarre kidnapping in Santo Domingo, a funny Christmas dinner in Fidel Castro's Cuba in the 1960s, a real character at Walt Disney World and a tear-jerker Christmas story from the little town of Christmas. Florida, USA. There are others, plus a few short poems within several of the pieces. The author is Isaac M. Flores, also known as Ike Flores. who worked for The Associated Press for more than 35 years. While there, he was a staff writer, and an editor on the General, Latin American and Foreign desks in New York. He became a foreign correspondent during the time of Fidel Castro in Cuba and then headed bureaus in Lisbon, Portugal, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. He later covered the Caribbean and the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. In retirement from AP, he was a senior writer for Lockheed-Martin, defense contractor in Orlando. He has written six books. He has a home in Winter Park, Florida, and currently resides in Greeensboro, North Carolina. His email address is isaacmanuelflores@outlook.com. Telephone 336 285-7315.

Lao Shu is the sequel to The Sage's Way, a book that has become a classic on Taoism since its 2004 publication. In Lao Shu, the enigmatic hunchback called Old Shu is acknowledged as The Mysterious Sage of Mount Shan, and 56 of his teachings - with subjects ranging from Acceptance and Aging to Words and Yielding - have been authenticated, compiled and oered for study and contemplation through the diligence of the monks at the Kai-tung Monastery.Unlike most other books on Taoism, Lao Shu is written as it would be experienced from inside the tradition, not as described from outside it. As such, readers are taken much deeper into the sophisticated and nuanced wisdom that has infused, informed and guided the Chinese culture for 2,500 years, and has intrigued the West for centuries. For the author, Lao Shu is the creative culmination of more than 50 years of exploring and explaining the essence of this elusive and timeless Taoist wisdom. In Lao Shu, such wisdom is provided directly through the recorded teachings of an imagined Taoist sage.
