I've always enjoyed making word finds and other types of puzzles, and I have looked at a lot of different types of books over the years. One thing that I have noticed is that most of these types of books are typically generic in content. A lot of them have a theme or subject, but nothing in depth. So I thought it would be fun to make some word find puzzles using sports trivia. I tried to use a wide range of trivia so that hopefully it's not only a good way to occupy one's time but is also amusing.

My name is Janice Bomar Crutcher. I have been feeding Mac and Gracie over 2 years. Sometimes twice a day. They know their names. I call them to come and feed. I was inspired to write this when I discovered that Mac had one bad wing and could not fly. I was his only source of food. So many days I felt so sad because he was so lonely. It just broke my heart, especially the way the other geese treated him for being different. Then one day Gracie appeared. They were bullied by the other Canadian geese because they were different. I want to produce a children's book to explain about bullying. With this being a big problem with our children today. To let them know it is ok to be different and not let anyone bully them. They are not alone. It is in our society today and to show them it happens in the animal species also. I have never done anything like this before. I went to the library and researched layouts of children's books. There was one layout I liked. It had the writing on the right pages and the left pages were the illustrations. So much to learn about writing a book. I just want to relay the message about bullying. Thank you for your time.Sincerely,Janice Bomar Crutcher* Main email: thecrutchers@outlook.comEmail: janicecrutcher.jc@gmail.comCell: (731) 336-4494

Bishop Ted Pernell is the main character in the book. Aquila, the bishop's secretary, had asked him to take on an old friend (Dr. Keith Dobson) of hers to receive biblical counseling. Dr. Dobson, the man requesting advice, is a chief executive officer, the highest-ranking person of the largest healthcare institution in Florida. The doctor and CEO's son, Jason, was angry at his sister, Nya. Jason had an issue with Greg, the brother of Caleb, the young man Nya is dating. The feel-ings of desperation and unhappiness had made Jason drink more than he normally would.Meanwhile, the bishop had his own share of concerns. He and his lovely wife Karia Anna really wanted to have children. In time, God told Karia Anna she would have a son, and she trusted God. One night, after a movie and dinner, Ted Pernell was helping her load the dishwasher when, suddenly, God reminded him of a note that more than a week ago, an elderly lady, Ms. Taylor slipped into his suit pocket after church.Bishop Pernell quickly finished loading the dishes and immediately went into his bedroom and then into his clothes closet. He retrieved the handwrit-ten letter from Ms. Taylor, and it read:"I had a dream last night. I dreamed I was sitting watching a relay race. The transfer team had three strong long-distance runners, and you were leading this team. This is a spiritual race, not a short race, not for sprinters; it is a test of en-durance . . . The next runner was the young deacon, Caleb, the Lord says he will be a great prophet. Next, he will pass the baton to your biological son. You are to name him Gath . . ."Bishop Pernell reread the letter several times. The extraordinary prophecy took a while to sink in.

'Trees live long after we are gone.' In a feverish rush in the evening of his years, Motilal Boodoosingh, through his Kahanis series, is engaged in planting fruit trees in the literary landscape of the Caribbean. This book, his fourth on the trot, honours the memory of his Aajee - his paternal grandmother - by documenting some of the folk tales passed on to him through the oral tradition of storytelling. As such, in contrast to the earlier published works, it is overlaid with a strong flavour of Hinduism, but continues to trace the evolution of Indo-Trinidadian history, tradition and culture. The author's memory of time, place and events is equally amazing, evident in his recall of what growing up was like in the southern rural district of Penal and its environs in the good ole days in Trinidad. There is adventure. There is humour. There is philosophy. Above all, there is sincere appreciation for all of the good things that came his way - documented here in black and white for all posterity.'If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.' - Albert Einstein. At seventy-two, Motilal Boodoosingh is a retired Offshore Production worker. From the energy industry he switched, upon retirement, to the fields of literacy and literature. He holds a BA in Literature and Communications as well as a Certificate in the Teaching of Reading. He also has an Adult Literacy Tutors Certificate. He earned the right to be labelled a Cropper Fellow after he successfully completed in 2016 the Cropper Foundation Residential Workshop for Caribbean Writers. As prolific as his writing is his frenetic involvement in literacy and literary sessions such as the Adult Literacy Tutors Association (ALTA) project of Readings Under the Trees, and the fortnightly zoom sessions of Poetry and Prose. Published in a number of magazines, he is also a regular contributor to the online literary magazine, my Trinidad, Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow.

An enigmatic and metaphoric continuation of short stories blended in time and location throughout Rose Manleather's unique and often time, dis-advantaged life. This follow up from "Fore Square" brings forth but also leaves behind many of the same characters while shedding light on some new personalities. The courageous story telling of every entry stands all on its own but is without a doubt connected to the whole collection. This book summarizes many of the questions the reader was left asking but will also have you demanding for more answers.
