Never Be Anyone Other Than You is a celebration of the uniqueness and individuality of every child. Children are often more in tune with the world and more perceptive than we think. In fact, there's much we can learn from our children's intuitive nature, their openness to new experiences, their strength in character, their little acts of kindness, and their mindfulness as they explore the simple joys in life that we adults often take for granted. In the process of honoring our children, celebrating their talents, attributes, and personality traits, we help them develop confidence, a sense of self-worth, while modeling for them how to appreciate and respect the individuality of others around them.

Bo Hardy had been discharged from the Navy SEAL program after being injured in an attempt to rescue a mother and her five-year-old daughter being sought by a group of Taliban troops whose intent was to capture, torture and murder both mother and daughter because the mother had converted to Christianity. The Taliban knew where the mother was hiding and knew of the forthcoming attempt to rescue the mother and little girl. The mother, daughter and Bo's best friend were all killed before Bo was able to take out the fifteen Taliban troops. Fearing that Bo would expose the flawed intelligence and embarrass certain people, Bo was unceremoniously drummed out of the Navy to come home to a corrupt hometown. I am now in the nighttime of my life. It has been a good life - no perfect, of course - but complete with challenges, accomplishments, disappointments, laughter and sadness. No two lives are the same, and my reflections will be from my unique experiences. They are not profound. You won't find my name in history books or on buildings. I consider myself an average persons. Unless I record my memories, they will soon be forgotten, so I am choosing to record them. Hopefully, you or someone will find them of interest. I will share my experiences, but, also, I will share what small amount of wisdom I have gathered during my lifetime. I have reached my 95th birthday as I share the following pages. I have always had a fascination with live theatre, and, since I discover3d a creative gene in my old age, I have chosen to include a group of short skits I have written. Hopefully, they will produce a smile or two, and, if you have desire to perform some of them, you have my permission to do so. Some have already been performed, and I include a list of those occasions. Before you start reading - you do plan to read, don't you - let me share with you what I believe to be the three things necessary for a happy life.

On the night of 31 August 1939, the word 'blitzkrieg' was added to the dictionary. The German Luftwaffe was discharging incendiary bombs from the sky, while the Wehrmacht stormed the ground with heavy artillery. The Polish Army made a valiant effort, but they were outweighed in machinery, munitions, and manpower. By 14 September, the invading forces had them surrounded. There was no way out. The final defeat of Poland took place in a marshy area of the Bug River. The document of surrender was signed 6 October 1939. The Poles never accepted the term "e;Unconditional"e;.

Inspiration for the author's "e;It's Good To Be.."e; stories comes from observing her grandchildren and memories from her own children as they overcame complexities of childhood and blossomed into loving socially responsible young adults. Have you ever thought about how difficult it is for a baby to develop langue skills necessary to communicate with people within their world? How does one form relationships with members in their family? What live-long bonds manifest during our most formative period, age 1 - 5 years? The author hopes to provide the reader a glimpse into the life of a child as he/she moves through necessary development stages on their way to becoming a unique individual of society.

You've seen the images from Hollywood. Macho, tough, with an almost John Wayne air about him, the fighter pilot has been famously portrayed as a gallant warrior. Now, take a look behind the scenes at a different look at the fighter pilot. Gone is the mystique and sense of danger. Instead is a fresh look at the comical aspects of being a fighter pilot; events, scenarios, during war and during peacetime, that show quite a different picture of the "e;hard as nails"e; image of the fighter pilot. Fictitious callsigns such as "e;Maverick"e; and "e;Ghostrider"e; are replaced with "e;Moe,"e; "e;Larry"e;, and "e;Curly."e; Yes, there are scenes where these nonchalant, easygoing fighter-pilot types are racing through the sky, boring holes in the clouds, going supersonic; but it's how and why they are there that makes the story interesting. Shooting rockets at the wrong target, scrambling to takeoff in the middle of the night from a dead sleep, ejecting from the aircraft after breaking it apart on the ground, getting lost while airborne, frantically trying to strafe a Soviet jet --- these are all the stories about real flying that never make the headlines of the daily paper. Working hard and playing hard, the fighter pilot genre is shown anew, much to the reader's delight. Those who have pressed the edge and lived to talk about it know these stories; those aspiring to do so will simply be amazed, ready to stand in line for their turn.

This book is the fourth in a collection of travel essays that the author has published over the course of a ten-year period. Its stories are about the author's travel experiences in places across the U.S., Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia. Some of the stories evolved from sections of old travel journals he wrote while in his twenties, while some date back a decade, and others more recent than that.He feels extremely fortunate to have had the ability to live in different places abroad as an exchange student, relief worker, and backpacker in an age when travel was relatively cheap and the world a safer place, with health hazards amounting to nothing more serious than malaria and the occasional bout of dysentery. His wish is that in describing these experiences, readers will regain confidence in the kindness of the human spirit?for without the kindness of strangers he met on my journeys, the author may never have successfully completed them?and become inspired to venture outre-mer, as did Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, one of our first great travel writers, did in his book by the same name about his travels in Europe in the 19th century.

This is the third of five stories I wrote for my grandsons Dylan and Kemper while they were students at the Montessori School of Rome in Georgia. Their mother, Miss Dolores, was a schoolteacher there. This is an educational story featuring the same set of jungle characters as the previous stories and introducing a physically challenged newcomer, Turtle TUTTLE, who can barely walk because of his flattened butterfly-like feet. On his first day in school TUTTLE learns why birds can fly and becomes convinced that the same principles of flight should apply to him and that he should also be able to fly. Is he right?

Born and raised Catholic, Margaret Christie learned about guardian angels at Marymount Catholic Grade School in Arlington, Virginia. In 1990, she attended a Catholic retreat in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The director encouraged her and the other participants to learn the names of their guardian angels. This was done by going into meditation and asking the Holy Spirit for the name. From a dark mist, Margaret's angel was introduced. Max guided her and has helped her through many mystical difficult instances. She was inspired by her experience to be able to give others the names of their guardian angels.

The storytelling begins with the first child of Peter and Ruby Hesters family. Friday night enjoyment time is conducted by my daddy sharing moments with the children named Sue Ann, Henry, and Jacquelyn. Every Friday, the television will be turned off at 2:00 p.m., and the family will prepare to eat dinner and then enjoy a sensational, thrilling, and fantastic story from our daddy. His story will inspire you, keep you thinking, and take you on an adventure to explore the wonders of life. One Friday, the stories opened us to the realities of our lives to come. My daddy lists his stories in four categories: (1) childhood stories, (2) dead-people stories, (3) family life stories, and (4) prediction stories. In the year 1955, my daddy told Henry, Sue Ann, and me a story/prediction that would last us our lifetime. The reality of life was opened up to us at a young age. I learned my daddy had the gift of predicting some events for his children and other people.

Soro any fee chukwu (Worship with Us) is one of our Igbo through Worship series that emphasizes language fluency through emersion pedagogy and participatory ethnic theology. The series involves speaking, listening, reading, and comprehension in Igbo language. The overarching goal is to encourage the learner to start reading and speaking Igbo correctly, within a specific context. The book is in form of a Missalet. It contains the order of the Mass in pictures. It is a worship aid that includes the Mass, as well as some simple prayers and praise songs. It has been observed that when children are able to follow the order of the Mass, they tend to be more inspired to participate actively in the service and in the church community as well. Hence, this book might help to strengthen the concentration and Igbo reading skills of children as well as adults who a new to the language or the Catholic faith. It is also expected to give them a sense of belonging as members of the congregation, irrespective of their age. The book can be used at English Masses for similar reasons too. Please share Soro any fee chukwu with your family and worship community network.
