This book is about PTSD and OCD. I suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, and the writing of this poem has certainly opened my eyes to the true essence of the First World War and the Anzacs and their sacrifice. It is raw truth about Gallipoli.

Friends in Strange Places is about Saleech, who explores the mountains and meets a dragon. Although she's afraid, he's unlike other dragons-he is friendly and is an amazing host. While there, they are attacked by bats, and the dragon is badly hurt.The dragon returns Saleech home and goes to find his best friend, Zack. Saleech decides to go on an adventure to ensure Snugsnort is okay. She meets a lot of unexpected obstacles while meeting some interesting characters, who assist her with her trials and offer invaluable help, as well. Saleech realizes that stepping outside her comfort zone means learning a lot about herself and allowing herself to grow as an individual.

The Adventures of Maxine is the story of a happy little pig who comes to live on a farm where there are many other animals. She becomes an important part of the farming family and particularly enjoys spending her time with all the dogs, as she believes she is the same as them.

Most of these poems were written with specific jazz tunes playing in my head. As I wrote each poem, the lines sang themselves into fragments, time was displaced, and reharmonization occurred. What started as one thing gradually became another. The remaining poems were written with the song lines of a place or event or the rhythms of the road as guide. I wrote as a voyeur watching life from a safe distance, an eavesdropper, a marginalien. The links between poetry and improvised music are as ancient as language itself, and telling stories in new ways is fundamental to human existence. It is not a choice. I hope that I have captured the essence of the musicians world and the marginaliens found along the way.

This book is a passage of stories, carried out in poetry style, on the journey I've been through while I was growing up, and all the negatives I learned to turn into something positive. Something is better than nothing, making the most of all. I'd like to share all the thoughts I had while developing as a child to an adult to help teenagers and ones in need experience hard times by expressing thoughts out of my poetic diary.
