This book is a collection of poetry written over a period of time, through various relationships, experiences, and emotions.Originally, the individual poems were written as a means to process and navigate how it feels to be experiencing things like love and relationships, especially once they have ended, but together they represent something more. They represent a journey. A journey that is in some way, shape, or form, a shared human experience. The point of the book is for readers to finally be able to feel understood, like finally all those things they've been wanting to say for so long have been put into words, that they can finally make sense of their thoughts and feelings, and that despite how it might feel right now, there is still joy in the sadness. There is still beauty in the pain.¿

My book is a collection of experiences in my life from various vacations and trips I have taken and the different people I meet or see on the way. Some of the poems are personal and depict experiences with health issues and relationships. I've also included poems about my family and friends alike. There are poems related to social issues of the world today. And lastly, there are poems about my spiritual life and my appreciation for the positive power that guides me.

My hope has always been to encourage others and to express the power of God. As my journey tells the story and allows me to answer my own questions of what God has been revealing to me for over forty years! Damaged "But God" is why I'm still here.

This book, to say the least, is a small piece of my soul. It's a mix of emotions. The words on these pages explain my experiences with falling in love and how special that felt all the way to losing the person I once told I loved more than anything. It's also about the process of finding yourself through heartache and allowing yourself to feel the emotions you want to avoid. I grew up with a tainted relationship with my father that directly impacted my view on relationships and men. I want my readers to feel every word like I'm speaking directly to them and for them. Heartbreak and pain are things we all know too well which saddens my heart. If I can heal from my wounds, my readers can too. This book is for them.
