When All You Have is Faith depicts a roller coaster ride of emotions as Ashea West navigates college, medical school, grief and financial hardship. It's a story about her dream to become a doctor that started with just a little faith in God, no plan B and an empty bank account. At each roadblock, she watches as God shows her unmerited favor when she was about to give up and throw in the towel. Dr. West speaks about failures, doubts, successes and the other side of medicine that we don't always get to see. Her aim is to challenge others not to be afraid of starting their own journeys. At the end of her book, there is a hidden journal for readers to record their own testimonies and experiences, in hopes that by sharing their story, others will come to know Christ better.

The Danville Lady Tomahawks was one of the first all-African American women's fastpitch softball teams, founded in the late 1960s in Danville, Illinois. The founder of this organization was Wilbur Adkisson, a professional baseball player, who played in the Negro Baseball League out of Nashville, Tennessee. In 1976, these ladies went from fastpitch to slow pitch and quickly became a traveling team in Illinois, Indiana, and even Tennessee. The Danville Lady Tomahawks were a strong force to be reckoned with, thriving as a team until the late 1990s. Over the course of all those years, Adkisson gave young African American women the opportunity to become involved in sports in their community for the first time in their lives.Black Diamond - Black Gold examines the early struggles of being an all-African American women's softball team during an era when racism was still rampant. It highlights the women's fortitude, resilience, and ability to adapt and play in any given situation. It showcases their strong commitment to the game, their team, and their community, where they instilled pride and joy. This book shows what dedication and devotion look like. It explores the strong bond that was developed between these young ladies, encouraged with loving guidance and leadership from Wilbur Adkisson.

Good stories can help us forget the project that's due or that looming doctor's appointment. They can transport us to a place of laughter, wonder, and amazement. This book is designed to do just that while also pointing the way to God's word and ultimately to Christ.Melinda Rogers, a faithful servant of the Lord, shares a collection of short stories that entertain and inspire. Some of the wisdom she shares includes:¿ If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then God is your loving, heavenly father. Come to him with your pain. Come to him with your problems. Wait and see.¿ Let's refuse to hide and slink into our holes. Let's go to church. Let's find community. We can help others as they help us.¿ God made each of us so very different. We each have our strengths, and we each have our weaknesses. We are happiest when we avoid comparison and can rejoice in other's strengths.Stories that Preach is not a Bible study, but simply a book designed provoke thoughts beyond the stressful ones that usually mark our days.
