After the loss of his grandmother in 2020, the author spent a lot of time talking with his children about life and death and what might happen after. These are all natural thing to ponder and talk about, but they're not always brought up. This story starts with two children running around a house looking for their grandma, assuming that she is playing hide and seek. Near the end of the book, the mother comes in and explains to the kids what happened to Grandma, allowing them to have a talk about life and death, much like I did in my personal life with my children. Hopefully this book can be used as an entertaining way to open up that conversation with you and your children.

How many second chances have you had in your life? Were they given to you, did they just happen by sheer luck, or did you consciously make your own?CREATIVE MODES CREATIVE WAYS is all about generating your own chances, opportunities, and personal growth, using the natural abilities you were born with, so you can employ them as your situations and circumstances change throughout life. Too many authority figures in our lives have judged and discouraged creative people, processes, products, and environments. We have learned to become our own worst critics, stifling our own ideas and initiatives. Take heart! Creativity is a natural, learnable human cognitive process.Creative Modes are the sentient sources and raw material of our creative perceptions, and we are born with them. Our senses are specialized and occupy different areas of our brains. Creative Ways are the cognitive means and processes for expressing our creativity. The essential link between our personal Creative Modes and our Creative Ways is a simple and accessible three step process of Hunting, Gathering, and then Harvesting. This unique book will help you to recognize your creative ability so that you can expand on it and enjoy it to your fullest potential. You will find basic approaches, techniques, and ideas to help you find new accessible ways of seeing opportunities and doing things.DOMINIC HAY wrote this book to help you create more chances in your life. Using several learning methods, he shows you many ways to open up your inherent creativity. There is the compelling story of our ancestor Toba adapting to a hostile environment. There are examples using the HUGH Process© (HUnting, Gathering, Harvesting), because creativity is indeed a natural process, not a destination nor a final result. There are dozens of helpful suggestions and tips to help you develop your skills. He also divided the Creative Modes Creative Ways text into three learning methods andcognitive approaches:a fictional narrative based on the origins of creativity; a holistic approach2. a theoretical framework employing sentient Modes for how our minds generate creativity quite naturally via our given senses; an explanatory reductionist approach3. a set of examples he calls Ways to illustrate how creativity might be applied to different areas of interest; an instructional approach

How does a kid raised by atheists end up in a convent? In her forties, Celia McBride abandoned her worldly life to follow a "sense of call" and explore the idea of becoming a Catholic nun. There was only one problem: she wasn't Catholic.Discerning the call to become something she wasn't turned into the greatest spiritual challenge of her life, as she was forced to confront her deepest values and beliefs and make a humble decision.Celia's memoir reveals the astonishing personal experiences of her unbecoming evolution, and the intimate stories that led to the ultimate answer she was searching for.If you're a seeker who is inspired by stories of travel, transformation and awakening to truth, then this book is for you."Beautiful, subtle and inviting . . . so personal, so intelligent, so real . . . a book of healing for anyone who craves authenticity in themselves and others. This is a reverently (and irreverently) and brilliantly crafted integration of all the parts of Celia's life thus far. What a capable storyteller she is. She's got ALL the right stuff! All together she is so, so pure . . . her desire for direct encounter is poetic and poignant and relatable. The last pages of the book give us the huge payoff we are longing for, the reflections we want for ourselves."~ AS, trauma survivor"Very thought-provoking. Anyone who has ever contemplated a big change in life can identify with this story."~ WH, writer, fellow traveler"Celia McBride's memoir illustrates her deep generosity of spirit, and her willingness to openly share her experiences with others, and it will most certainly help others to see the very great value in the sharing of one's life experiences. The work is moving, deeply insightful, honest, remarkably courageous, and compelling. One wants to know where she is going next on her journey, with whom the next important conversation will be."~ JM, survivor

This picture book is designed to encourage primary students to read. It is based on the true story of an extraordinary dog. Froo was a Great Pyrenees who was born a dwarf and deaf. She participated in Canadian Kennel Club Obedience and Rally and Therapy trials, and still did very well in spite of the fact her training was imparted by hand signals. The story's narration, written by the dog herself, touches on the history of the breed, early training, and therapy work. We were invited to hospitals, care homes and colleges. When Froo qualified as a Therapy Paws of Canada reading dog, we provided reading services to both the Halton and Peel Boards of Education, mostly with primary students but sometimes with high school students as well. Froo was a great favourite with everybody. We read with individual students as well as groups. I did not tell anyone she was deaf. This book is dedicated to any dogs who need to be re-homed, and to all primary students who are learning to read. Especially, this is tribute to a truly memorable friend.
