She was very active in civic, municipal and cultural pursuits, having served as the first woman President of the Santa Fe Press Club (now defunct), the first woman President (now Chairman of the Board) of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Santa Fe Festival of the Arts, as well as on numerous civic and municipal committees. She now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.

In 2002, the New Mexico Historical Society awarded Larry Frank the Ralph Emerson Twitchell Award for a three-volume book, LAND SO REMOTE. He is currently working as co-curator with the Albuquerque Museum on a major exhibit of classic Hispanic Rio Grande blankets to be held at the museum in 2006. Married to well-known artist, Alyce Frank, they have three grown children.
