Experimental psychology depends on theoretical and methodological foundations. Addressing these foundations is not always trivial and requires a shift in the epistemological perspective. Phenomenology can provide a framework that helps to discuss the possibilities and challenges of the discipline. This book provides a historical overview of the phenomenological movement as well as a systematic introduction to the research approaches that are known as 'phenomenological psychology'. The central claim is that the phenomenological discourse can increase the conceptual, descriptive, and methodological rigor in psychology. The purpose of the book is to facilitate the dialogue between phenomenology and cognitive sciences. It is meant to be a guide for interested scholars but also offers new ideas for experts in the field.

This book unpacks key concepts and methods that are relevant for a critical and reflective framing of futures in postdigital education. The rich and often confusing terminology in the multidisciplinary field of digitalization and education tends to prevent conversations across disciplines and areas about core issues at stake in increasingly data-driven everyday practices, such as issues of ethics and values. The compiled chapters focus on concepts and methods that have pertinence for contemporary debates about the emergence of data-driven education. The chapters explore their implicit or explicit ethical and normative implications. The chapters provide in-depth critical reflections and perspectives for scholars in the field to engage and analyze data-driven education as an educational and cultural phenomenon. This anthology thus focuses on the value-laden and ethical aspects reflected in educational imaginaries (discourses and practices) regarding emerging data-driven sociotechnical practices in education. Concerns have arisen in connection with inequalities, discrimination, algorithmic authority, accountability, and student well-being, as well as advisors' moral discomfort and violation of a professional, ethical code. This includes conceptual perspectives of marginalized and minoritized groups and issues closely related to intersectionality. Furthermore, questions of Bildung are re-articulated and manifested anew through evolving digital solutions, calling for critical perspectives on reproduction, transformation, and innovation in education. In this context, we argue that educational sciences need to pay attention to the values and the ethics associated with emerging sociotechnical imaginaries. The book is the result of scholarly exchanges between disciplines at a symposium held at VIA University College in Denmark in May 2022. Contributors have singled out concepts and methods for an in-depth discussion on their meaning with regards to the overall theme.

This book presents the essential characteristics of the different satellite motions. Satellite motions can be classified as anomalistic, draconitic, tropical, Hansen-, Kepler-, meridional, Sun-synodical, Moon-synodical motion, depending on the relevant reference point. When two of these types of motions (in some cases even more than two) are coupled, satellite orbits are obtained, which are called equivalence orbits in this book. They share the special properties of the different coupled motions and are therefore of particular interest in the selection of special satellite orbits.In the book the author calculates mean equivalence orbits with secular perturbation formulas, as well as true equivalence orbits considering a complete orbit model including periodic motion effects. Some of the equivalence orbits can be determined unambiguously and with extremely high accuracy, they are stable in the long term. Others can only be found with low accuracy and reduced stability. The author investigates all possible combinations and the associated general equations of condition are derived in each case. Some well-known families of satellite orbits, such as the Sun-synchronous orbits, can be interpreted as mean equivalence orbits. The study of their stability is of great interest in orbit mechanics. Special applications and numerous numerical examples, graphical representations of all possible ranges of the Kepler elements, and detailed studies of the stability of particularly important equivalence orbits are carried out using the Brouwer orbit model as well as the modification by Eckstein.This lays the foundation for possible refinements using arbitrary extended orbital models and for possibly required orbital corrections. This textbook arises from a master's course taught by the author at the University of Coimbra. It takes the reader from the very classical Galois theorem for fields to its generalization to the case of rings. Given a finite-dimensional Galois extension of fields, the classical bijection between the intermediate field extensions and the subgroups of the corresponding Galois group was extended by Grothendieck as an equivalence between finite-dimensional split algebras and finite sets on which the Galois group acts. Adding further profinite topologies on the Galois group and the sets on which it acts, these two theorems become valid in arbitrary dimension. Taking advantage of the power of category theory, the second part of the book generalizes this most general Galois theorem for fields to the case of commutative rings. This book should be of interest to field theorists and ring theorists wanting to discover new techniques which make it possible to liberate Galois theory from its traditional restricted context of field theory.
